Monumental series that inspired superhero shows and even films that have come since. The casting is spot on (especially Welling, Rosenbaum, Glover, Mack, and Durance, with admiration for performances by O’Toole and Schneider) plus a stellar soundtrack loaded with some of the best alternative rock acts out of the 90s and 00s. Effects are great for the most part given the era. Heat vision is among my favorites - it finally looks the way it should. Story arcs range from episodic character-building “freak of the weeks” to longer journeys for Clark Kent/Kal-El as he discovers powers through high school and college years, as various events around Smallville, Metropolis and within and around a young Justice League unfold.

As for the shipping, as others have pointed out the discs come popped off their trays due to inadequate packing. The set simply had bubble packing on one side of it, that’s it, meaning all impacts the box will suffer will transfer directly to the set and its contents. For expensive items and anything that collectors are paying more for, the world expects better.

Smallville is one of my favorite shows. I remember watching it on tv. This set is great the show looks amazing on Blu-ray. The discs have a bunch of special features episodes with commentary from the cast and directors, deleted scenes, and gag reels. My only problem is some of the discs came loose. But that might just be my fault. One time when I was picking it up. I didn't have a good grip on it. And the box holding all the boxes with discs slipped through slip cover. It happened twice before I was able to get it up lol. Totally my own fault I should have grabbed it in a better angle or just closer to the box. I was on my bed and was and reaching down to pick it up. The box and the boxes holding the discs look awesome. If your a fan of Smallville this is a must have. You won't regret buying it. I actually did take a picture of each box front and back. But that would be a lot of pictures lol. The discs look really cool. If love the show you will love this set. Any Smallville fan will love this. So if your looking for a present for someone you know who loves Smallville. This box set is a safe bet.

Ya tenía todas las temporadas en DVD y lo único que me gustaba mucho y le falta a los Blu Rays, sobre todo de las primeras temporadas, es el intro animado con escenas de la temporada antes del Menú de Disco. Fuera de eso, maravilloso y con muchos extras que antes no se podían ver.

This is seems to be the ultimate Smallville experience, the transfers are good although sometimes in season one the balance of the music vs voices is off. This is a very minor criticism, I am only on season 2 but great so far. The box is really well presented and each series comes in its own box unlike the strange Sopranos blu ray set that was almost unusable in one massive box. I had forgotten how colourful the first two series were. Some of the special effects are a tiny bit dated but it is 20 years old and most of them are fine. Most important, the series works on UK players I have been using mine on my Xbox with no concerns and it boots into the disc menu super quickly without going through adverts loading screens etc. It arrived in a week from USA so all good. Look out for price drops as well because although second this is selling high, Amazon dropped price from £143 to £120 when I left in my basket for a few days. Happy viewing!
