- Reviewed in the United States on January 20, 2021Loved Smallville and I love being able to see what happened to all the characters after the show ended. Great read.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2018The art reflects the actors and I absolutely love that the franchise started where the show ended. For us diehard Smallville fans that was important. The continuity was absolutely necessary for me.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 23, 2014This would have been great to see on television. The artwork conveys a sense of life that one cannot measure with words. Plus the back up story with Lana and Lois is superb. I wish that they would have included the other back up stories in the previous volumes.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 23, 2014Picking up where Smallville's final season left off, DC's Superman comic set in the CW TV universe after Clark Kent has embraced his destiny as Metropolis' guardian. In this fourth trade paperback volume collecting digital chapters 41-53 featuring stories from DC comic writer and Smallville tv series writer Bryan Miller and artists Daniel Hdr and Cat Staggs with cover by Pete Woods. The time-traveling superhero Booster Gold and the Legion of Super-heroes return drawing Clark into a 31st century in which Metropolis is nearly at war. There's a Kryptonian lost colony called Argo where Zod's soldiers flourished their own society. There is a threat to the peace between the New Kryptonians and Earthlings... Can Clark, Kara and the others unify to deal with the added threat of the monstrous killing machine Subject Zero a.k.a. "Doomsday."
And in the final chapter of trade paperback "Valkyrie" Lois and Lana reunite to fight a maniac with a Kryptonite Heart using a Prometheus skin attempting to assimilate decommissioned war tech.
The original digital covers by Cat Staggs are gorgeous (see the back of the trade paperback for them) much stronger than Pete Woods collection cover. Overall the art a stories here are fine, the likenesses of the actors are merged with the spirit of the comics, they have the feel of the CW series while widening the general scope of the series more than tv would permit. ARGO continues to steer season 11into an interesting direction volume 5 is due out in October 2014.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 17, 2014I've thoroughly enjoyed this new comic season of the show. Add booster and the legion of super heroes, and good times are had by all.
Still miss the show, though
- Reviewed in the United States on December 6, 2022I didn't love that most of it was in the 31st century. I couldn't care less about Booster Gold, though it was nice to see Brainoac again, even if he looks weird with bond hair. I also liked catching up with a finally fulfilled Lana in Valkyrie.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 14, 2015MY husband is a big fan and was so upset when they discontinued the series. These were a great gift for him. He loved them.

Kieran J. McandrewReviewed in the United Kingdom on December 15, 20233.0 out of 5 stars Smallville: Season 11 Vol. 4: Argo
An emergency in the 31st Century causes the Legion to pull Clark and Booster Gold from the 21st Century, where Clark is reunited with an old friend. Meanwhile, Lois runs into another old friend in Cambodia.
The artwork is just poor. It's lazy and makes no attempt to be screen accurate. That normally is not a problem, but it makes stylistic choices which are equally poor. The story hangs together quite well, but does little to advance any arcs.

EZMReviewed in France on August 3, 20164.0 out of 5 stars Bienvenue au 31ème siècle !
