Extremely remarkable quality for the price. Realistically about 100 lumen but still a good price for the money. I got 4 of them for the whole family to have in our cars for emergency.

1st light on top is 200 lumens , light on the bottom is Cree. It's a bit dimmer but still good !

Nice beam for the size and price, but totally unreliable. Both of mine don't always turn on. To start off, I should mention that I have been using both of these mini LED lights for about 6 months now. I was pretty pleased at first, as they do have a pretty powerful little beam for their size and for the buck. Plus, this performance only requires one AA battery, so that's pretty good. But, within a week, the first one started to malfunction, not turning on some times (and with many tries), then hours later working again. So I switched to the other, and it began to do the same within a few days. Now, months later, both do work, but only about half of the time. What good does a flashlight do, when after you turn it off, you aren't sure if it's going to turn on again? This unreliability makes these lights absolutely worthless. I don't know if it's a problem in the switch, or if it's the LED overheating, or what, but a couple of times, after not being able to turn on the light, and then leaving it on the table, I noticed that later it had turned on. Maybe it has to cool down??? Crazy.

On zoomed out setting, has a lux ranging from 90 to 60 (center vs edges) with a diameter of about 3.5ft. In zoomed in mode, has a lux well over 1000 but occupies a few inches at best. In contrast to the standard cheap-o headband led's (the one's with two led white and 1 led red), the light about was ~6 times brighter. As many other have said, this is not the best light ever but it is VERY impressive for the price.

While NOT the best way to measure lumens, my light registered at approximately 250 if one were to take an average of the lux assuming a perfect gradient. I don't think anyone expected 300 but it's nice to know you're not getting 30. Hope this helps.

EDIT: I decided to measure the second light and (using the same battery to power it) it was approximately 10-15% brighter. Not sure why. The adjuster nob was also MUCH harder to move, although not difficult for anyone- just the difference was surprising. They both preform well, but the difference between them might well indicate variance among the batches. I am still pleased, but found it noteworthy.

I am happy with the purchase. I purchased some rechargeable 14500 batteries and the light was very bright and penetrating but only lasted for 25-30 minutes. I used a regular AA battery and the light actually stayed on continuously for 24 hours before I shut it off. When I tried to turn it back on there was not enough juice left in the battery. As would be expected when I left the light on for 24 hours it became dimmer over time until toward the end of the 24 hours there was not much light. The maximum brightness under this scenario only last about an hour before it started to go dim but the light stayed on much longer than the 14500 battery. So for maximum brightness use the 14500 battery but for maximum life use a regular AA battery.

These flashlight will work well but only for a short period of time.

Initially I thought there was some issue both units I received, since they both only came on intermittently and put out mediocre light. However, it turns out the pair of batteries I used were both dying, so my gripes were misplaced and self inflicted.

Now that I have successfully installed good batteries, the light output is much better. I would rate it as higher than those cheapo flashlights you pick up at the check out counter at your local hardware store. Plus, they can narrow or widen their focus. The telescoping action feels surprising ok for this price point. The material of the flashlight itself also feels pretty good, with the exception of the battery cap. It's fine when screwed in, but feels inferior to the rest of the flashlight.

Also, if you're not interested in the pocket clips, they can be removed with a tiny allen wrench.

These are outstanding small tactical lights. They are, in fact blinding, if shined in ones face, I tried it on three different people with same result. I also tried light out for distance. I can see with clarity about 100 yards and the Cree will easily spot that far.I like the fact that you use AA batteries. It is hard to believe you get this much light with one AA battery. Light is well made, easy to carry with the pocket clip. I bought 2 lights, one for my wife and to my surprise, she loved it. So, bottom line is, for the money, you can not go wrong with these lights.

These are pretty good flashlights. There are a number of "brands" selling the exact same generic flashlight, so shop around depending on how much you are willing to pay for Prime shipping, versus waiting a month to receive the product. They are very bright, but the single AA battery only lasts about 90 minutes. The adjustable focus is great for giving one area bright light, or using the built-in grid that appears when you focus the light. The orange button on the back comes off too easily, but it does not affect function. Great buy.
