PonyCycle is the world’s First Simulated Riding Toy that doesn’t rely on batteries or electricity, but on the child's own power. Instead of traditional Rocking Horses and Spring Horses which keep the rider in one spot, PonyCycle allows the child to ride wherever they want, making them feel just like they’re on a real horse. By gently bouncing up and down in the saddle, the child makes the head and legs move forward and backward, propelling the PonyCycle forward in a galloping motion. One of the best things about the PonyCycle is that not only does it make a wonderful toy, it’s also a great form of exercise. When children move on their PonyCycle they train a specific group of muscles, meaning that they grow stronger and healthier while having a great time! Riding on a PonyCycle is completely safe. It’s best to find flat, solid ground. Hills should be avoided, PonyCycles don’t have brakes. It’s better not to ride on bumpy surfaces. Never leave a child unsupervised while riding. Wheels do not roll backwards. Make your child’s dream come true and enjoy seeing the joy on their face.

I am sooooo pleased with this purchase! The ponycycles were the Big Christmas presents this year and both of my kids were squealing with joy. They immediately began riding with ease and had so much fun that I had to remind them that they had other presents under the tree, too!
The pony is soft, pretty face, sturdy frame and handles, long soft mane, absolutely gorgeous. So many jealous friends.
The pony cannot go backwards, it can be tippy in collisions and it has no brakes. With that said, my kids age 6 and 2 have no problems turning and have found ways to stop the pony using their feet. With practice, they have figured out how to go over bumps and a crash course of when to stop, yield and pass resolved the issue with collisions.
This is the best gift and I will certainly upgrade when they outgrow these ones in a couple of years.
I am still beaming from seeing their joy Christmas morning.
I want to point something out though about one person's review stating that it's a dangerous toy... Well, I understand where you're coming from but I do have to say that if you read the description of this item, they clearly state that "It’s best to find flat, solid ground. Hills should be avoided, PonyCycles don’t have brakes. It’s better not to ride on bumpy surfaces. Never leave a child unsupervised while riding. Wheels do not roll backwards." They do say it doesn't have brakes, so if you read it, then you shouldn't have bought it because it also advises to avoid hills but use it on flat, solid ground! Use common sense people! Don't crush your child's dreams not getting this horse because you as a parent or the adult cannot use common sense to make sure your child is on a flat surface when riding, plus, don't be lazy to watch your kid so you can ensure their safety while riding and having fun! Be smarter than the equipment! Accidents can be avoided if parents do their job to always be alert and not leave their child unsupervised while riding this beautiful, fun, pony!
It's been 2 months since my niece got her pony cycle... she loves it and enjoys riding it. A lot of people complemented and also asked where it was bought. This is a great toy for a kid who loves horses and I knew my niece was going to love it. There is no problems with it not having breaks... no other issues, just fun and more fun!!!
Cons: very heavy and hard to maneuver. NO BRAKES, if the kid is trying to avoid running into a sibling, dog, or anyone's toes all they can do is swerve and it is so heavy it just topples over. Also if you are outside on any sort of hill and they pickup speed they cannot stop or slow down. If this is a true "cycle" it should have brakes like a bicycle does.
This toy is very dangerous in my opinion. For $250 you should get something safe and fun for your kids. Wish I could return.
