Some of us were obviously built to rely on our brains rather than our bodies to make a living. So the thought of losing our minds, even in old age, is about the worst thing imaginable. Luckily senility is neither inevitable nor even probable if we just take steps to compensate for the stresses in our lives. Adding a vitamin or mineral supplement here or there may be all it takes.

We don't know precisely how sound ortho is, except both Hoffer and Pauling were working well into their 90's - full time jobs. Pauling's main critic died in his 60's.
Oh, and a note about the history of Hoffer's discoveries is in order. He was in charge of medical care for Canadian soldiers who had been interned in Japanese POW camps, after the disastrous Singapore defeat. The ONLY thing that brought them back to reasonable health was high dose Niacin. That's how Dr. Hoffer discovered orthomolecular medicine.
There is no arguing with results in a situation like this.
You can't go wrong buying and learning the world of Abram Hoffer. Fifty years from now Hoffer and Pauling will be recognized for bringing medicine out the "dark ages" of cut, burn and poison.
The next generation of research is already being built on Hoffer's work but Hoffer was the pioneer and it's best to understand the source.
Your doctor is most likely 50 years behind Hoffer's work. Leave the forces of "Darkness" (medicine for greed and profit) and enter the world of Light (applied nutrient knowledge).
