I was a bit of a waffle queen in my hey-day as a young mom - four people, four waffle irons, *no* waiting, lol! We enjoyed waffles of every shape and size - Heart shaped, Belgian, Mini Belgian, and Traditional - Sunday mornings were definitely something to look forward to.This little waffle iron was certainly interesting to me as I'm now an empty-nester cooking for one. Makes two inch waffles - too cute! Too bad though, this model did not work out for me.The picture tells the story best - not the "picture" of something I'd be proud to serve guests. See photo added.Cooks very inconsistently - the bottom of the waffles get significantly more browned and crispy and the tops less done, not crispy - the color from one waffle to the next even varies widely in the same batch. The picture shows burned spots on a light waffle. Really?!? It is possible this is simply a defective unit however the hot spots are not the only issue with this unit.Built of very low quality materials - pretty much all lightweight plastic that feels fragile and flimsy.Using a squeeze bottle you *can* load it but you need to work *lightning* fast or the first one is half cooked and spreading across the lower plate by the time you get to the last.Last and least important, if you care about how they look as well, it is almost impossible to get the exact amount of batter in each well to produce a round waffle without "ears". I'm fairly experienced at this and even working as fast and precisely as possible it took me several batches to get even close.Even then, the inconsistent browning made them not quite worth all the effort.Unfortunately, this one is not the one for me.

I am always looking for kitchen appliances that allow me to make mini-sized food items. I have five grandchildren who I enjoy making different foods for. Also, my husband and I are senior citizens, who have down-sized the portions of the foods that we normally consume. In addition to that, I am also one who tries to create a variety of bite-sized items to bring to Halloween parties, football parties, bowling parties, or for when the family just gets together in general. I don't mind the extra time involved to make "more" of smaller items.

When I saw this Mini Flip Belgian Waffle Maker, I just knew I had to have it. Now, remember, I have never made Belgian Waffles before. I read all the reviews on this product and when all was said and done, the pros out-weighed the cons by a mile. And after using the product, I didn't find any of the problems that were listed in reviews. Sometimes I wonder if people actually read the instructions before using a product. This product turned out the fluffiest, tastiest, and cutest mini Belgian waffle that I have ever had.

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is interested in making these mini sized waffles. It is well worth the money spent on it.

Me and my Lady love the little waffles that one of our local resteraunts offers, so when I found this, I thought that it would be a great way to make our own little waffles. Product arrived when promised and as advertised. The 2 drawbacks that we found was 1) there is not a way to remove the waffle cooking surfaces for thorough cleaning and 2) the turning mechanism is cheaply made and doesn't turn easily/smoothly. Overall, a good purchase for the occasional waffle maker, but if you're wanting to do a mass continuous production, find another one.

I bought this on Amazon Warehouse deals. I was very hesitant because of the terrible reviews but I used a cookie scoop to get the batter into all 5 spaces and then closed the handle and waited a few seconds before I flipped it over. I always made sure I knew what direction I was turning it and did it quick. Other than very slight dripping there was no complaints for me. I love my tiny little waffles.

I bought this item for my two children as a novelty. It is cheaply made, makes five very small waffles and when you try to flip it over, it only seems to want to flip about half the time, so you have to jiggle and fiddle with the handle to get it to flip. The cooking isn't very even and its hard to get the batter amount correct (about a Tablespoon) so it doens't flow outside the pattern. In order for the whole family of 4 to eat in the same morning, I run a NORMAL waffle iron at the same time for my husband and myself. To try to feed a family using this mini maker, would take until after lunch time. That being said, if you are a grandparent or someone just looking for a way to get the kids to eat, these are cute and tasty waffles. If you are looking for any use above and beyond this, just buy something bigger and better constructed. This is cheap plastic and its really hard to clean and the griddle part doesn't lift out at all, so you're stuck trying to clean it with a soapy sponge over the sink (without getting the mechanics wet) This is the kind of thing you buy, use a few times and then sell it at the garage sale the following year. Wish I could say better about it, but this is the truth. The item arived on time and well packaged, but its still poor quality.

Despite negative reviews I bought this gadget to make waffle sliders for tomorrow's Superbowl party. I will say, when it came out of the box, it seemed 'plastic-y' and 'flimsy' -- well, it is. As a seasoned pro, I will now give you tips to use this machine the right way (which is why I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5, as, their instructions suck): Preheat the machine to the max and never look back. Cook your waffles about 30 seconds per side, instead of their recommended ten. Also, when you mix your batter, lessen the liquid in your recipe, meaning: make the batter thicker. For example, if you usually use 3/4 cup of milk to 1 cup of flour mixture, lessen the milk to 1/2 cup. When you get over the giddy, goofy, giggling part. Enjoy!!!

PS: Amazon needs to add a place for me to add photos.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Belgian Mini Waffle Maker
Reviewed in Canada on March 17, 2012
We are very impressed with this waffle maker. The waffles are fluffy, light and crispy. The machine is easy to clean. The one draw back is the waffle recipe. It is a very large recipe. They need to provide for a smaller recipe as not everyone wants the huge amount of waffles this recipe makes.
