A little video of this tranquil little fountain in action!

I attempted to give you a size perspective with it being on the porch (that's also my toy poodle, who also loves it). We're next to a major street, but you can still enjoy the sounds of this fountain! I highly recommend it and wouldn't hesitate to buy another! It would also make a unique housewarming gift!

This is actually extremely small (and rather lightweight), it looks much bigger in the picture. Also, Amazon does not ship it in a separate box, it ships in the manufacturer's own box which is a little annoying because UPS is not shy about banging things around. And for reasons that are unknown to me, Amazon has stopped sending out paper receipts on most of their items. This did not come with a receipt and it was not the first order that I have received recently that came without one so this seems to be a new trend for them. Anyway it works fine, just add the water, make sure it is in a super sunny place and once it gets enough solar energy it will start to work. On dark or rainy days it will not work. This time of year these items go quickly so I was really glad to get it at this price from Amazon. And even if it does say 2-4 weeks until delivery don't worry, it almost always comes back in stock within a few days. I keep this outside in the backyard by my pool and it looks very nice. The ceramic does not appear to be of very high-quality, but at this price what can you expect. Now if I can just find that solar powered self-cleaning Jetsons kitchen that everyone's talking about.

I ordered this to compliment a small 6'x10' garden area in my front yard. I am hoping that the moisture will attract some toads for my yard and toad house Esschert Design Toadhouse.

First off, I love that it is solar operated. No wiring to run, simple and easy. Yes, it will only run when it has sunlight, as it says in the description. Even if you lean over and block the panel, it will stop pumping. Be sure you have a nice open area to place it.

The bowl and fish is a beautiful ceramic blue. It holds perhaps a gallon of water (I used my daughters sand bucket to fill it and it took 1 1/2). The assembly was fairly straight forward, although attaching the spout to the pump too a bit of creative license. I didn't see anyway to insert the tube into the hole while it was attached to the pump, so I simply positioned it and slid the tube down afterwards. Same thing with the fish, which is also ceramic. The directions indicate that you just slide it on, over a little foam stopper called a "bung", however, the fish is made like a teapot lid, you must have it positioned sideways to have these little side bumps line up up with the hole in the base, so that took a little careful finagling, but it is certainly not difficult nor time consuming. I would say I was set up within ten minutes. The item is very attractive and works as indicated. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend. Read the size and imagine it in your layout, and you will not be disappointed.

The fountain is beautiful ... a little tricky (for ME) to put together, but probably not for someone who is a bit more adept at assembling things. The only thing that disappoints me is that the solar panel must be receiving direct sunlight for the fountain to work. It does not store energy, so if the sun's not shining directly on the panel, there is no water action. When I went back and read the description, I saw that it says "operates in direct sunlight." Guess I should have read between the lines! The blue glaze is beautiful, the fountain is the perfect size for my 10x10 deck, and when the sun's shining on it, it makes a very relaxing sound of water falling. I put some rocks in the base of it to generate a little more sound and am very happy with the outcome!

We love this tiny little fountain that we've nestled under a red-dwarf Japanese maple in our front landscaping bed. It works very well while the sun is shining and the blue glazed ceramic is just the right kick of color. I think it's priced is too high for what it is, though. It should be about 1/2 the price.

***This note added after one month - During hot weather evaporation of the water cuts the run time down even further. When the water falls below a certain level (about 2/3 full) the pump doesn't have enough water to draw on to run. All in all the pump only runs about 2 or 3 hours a day. Disappointing.

This fountain is very pretty. Yes, it is small, but not miniscule. I put some light colored rocks around it and plants with blue and yellow flowers behind it and it looks beautiful. It's working nicely for me in sunny California. I haven't seen any birds use it, although they checked it out, but I put some stones in it, big enough so that they are partially above water level and thus stay moist, and many butterflies and other bugs come and drink from it. I'm very happy with it.

I'm just about done with Smart Solar products. They are, to put it not so politely, crap! This little fountain looks charming and was lovely while the pump worked, but the pump didn't last for long. The sun was shining and everything was great then a cloud came over and the pump stopped, as expected. However, when the sun came back out the pump still didn't work so I unplugged the connection with the panel and plugged back in... it worked! Oh joy! Another cloud went by, no running water, sunny again... still no running water. So, am I expected to unplug and plug the connections every time a cloud goes by in order to restart the pump? That's just ridiculous. Another fail from Smart Solar (their blue ceramic solar birdbath is rubbish too).
