good all-around shaker cup

When I bought this cup it was super cheap ($6.38 total). Several reviews warned of the lid breaking easily, but for only $6 I took the risk and purchased anyway. So far, after 3 weeks of frequent use, I have not yet had any issues with the lid. My favorite things about this cup are the physical design and the strainer-type mixer.

The physical design is great because 1) The cup is the perfect volume for a one serving protein shake. 2) Removable compartments for protein/pills, and fits in a backpack. 3) Since the cup is shorter than most shaker cups, it is a lot easier to hand wash quickly.

The strainer works well and it means I don't have to deal with an annoying whisk ball rattling around or getting lost.

Would buy again (provided the lid continues to hold up).

Plastic Holds Smell. Will Be Switching.

My husband has one of these as well as one of the Blender Ball cups, but since he wasn't willing to lend me one of his, I thought I would buy one for myself.

I like this cup just fine. I've been using it for two months now, and the mouth piece is holding up just fine (although others have mentioned their mouth pieces have broken after several uses).

My biggest concern is honestly how badly it holds the SMELL. I drink a shake on the way to work, but don't have the ability to rinse my cup out until I get home. After two months of this, my cup is starting to smell pretty bad, and that's after SEVERAL extremely hot cycles in the dishwasher.

Because of this (and that I can't change the fact I'm unable to rinse my cup out any faster than I currently am), I will likely end up switching to a MetalMixer, 24 Oz, White or a VALI Stainless Steel Shaker

I have owned more than 6 of these shakers over the years. They're easy to clean by hand or via dishwasher and if you don't let milk sit in them and go bad, they really don't smell that bad. The best part about the shaker is that it does a better job breaking up clumps of protein than any other shaker I have used.

Even though they're relatively durable, if you drop them, they do crack over time.

I recently ordered two colors from SmartShake and the order was shipped by "lose weight now". They shipped the wrong color and when I raised this as an issue, their resolution was to offer 15% off the incorrect items (instead of dealing with a return/exchange). Funny thing is that the shaker I ordered was listed for $9.99. The shaker they shipped was listed for $7.00. The solution this seller is offering was for me, the customer, to PAY them $1.50 for their mistake.

I recommend you buy this item, but buy it from a physical store or from another seller. Don't use "lose weight now".

Edit: after a couple of days of back-and-forth with the seller, lose weight now, they remedied the issue. Highly recommend the shaker, again, just wish they came in a stainless steel version as they do tend to break if they fall just right..

Best shaker cup out there

These shakers cups are hands down the best I've used, I currently own 4 of them. Unlike a lot of shakers cups out there, there isn't a ball inside that mixes up the powder with the water. Instead the plastic mesh that attaches to the lid is what helps to mix everything and doesn't produce that somewhat annoying sound that shakers that use the balls make. The bigger storage compartment easy stores two scoops of my protein powder, while the smaller one will hold one scoop. The smaller one also has a divider inside for pills if you use any vitamins.

I highly recommend these shakers to anyone looking. Someone at my jiu-jitsu class ended up buying one because he saw me using them and I loved it so much

I recently got back into exercising semi-regularly, and decided to buy a shaker cup that would be affordable and effective with protein shakes.

For the low price, the SmartShake is fantastic. It's made from durable materials, is lightweight, and can be configured according to your needs with the removable lower compartments and pill organizer. The removable strainer inside the cup makes it a breeze to clean, and it does a great job of blending your beverages.

The only details that make this a four star review as opposed to five is due to the diameter of the bottom of the cup, which is too wide to fit into standard cup holders. Being able to reach my drink easily when I'm driving or on a treadmill is important. Also, I would personally just lose the little carabiner it comes with. The hardware broke quickly on mine, and I don't see too many situations where it would make sense (maybe hiking).

Overall, the SmartShake shaker cup is some major bang for you buck, is constructed well, and comes with plenty of configuration options.

Meh. The first few uses were great, however it was kind of difficult to clean all of the crevices of the top part of the shaker. This particular shaker I only used in emergencies when I would leave my other ones at home by mistake. It stayed at my job most of the time.
However, after about 10 uses, the mouth-lid section began to leak whenever I would shake my supplement and spill. I threw it out. Maybe I got a defective one, but it worked fine at first.
