The light arrived in a timely manner and was adequately packaged. After looking over the installation instructions, it took about ten minutes to remove the screws, set the light, and return the screws to complete the installation. We then plugged in the light to test it, and it worked. Later at night fall, we plugged it in again and had a nice soft glow across our 24 ft round pool. We love the amount of light we now have to swim and enjoy our pool at night! There is a comfortable safety level we feel being able to see into the water at night. We do advise buyers to check the light placement from across the pool before tightening the screws. It would be aggravating to have to undo the screws to reposition it. Also installation has to be near an electrical source. We have had no trouble with our light. It works every time! We love it and highly recommend it!

This little light puts out a perfect amount of illumination for our 24-foot round pool. The nighttime transformation made possible by a $50 light is amazing. Despite the 1-week delivery estimate, this arrived in just 2 days.

My only critique (and reason for 4 stars versus 5) is that this is designed to attach to a "T" support, which my pool does not have. I was able to remove a top panel and just put this over the side of the pool wall. This works okay, but the light floats upward a bit since it is not as secure as it would be if I had a "T" to attach this to. I will look for some type of adhesive or something to weigh this down to keep it close to the pool wall, but this doesn't detract from how happy I am with the light this puts off.

The nitelighter above ground pool light is great....we have an 24' round pool and it gives a soft glow...we have the 35 watt bulb and it is fine.....we didn't want it bright, but you could always get a bulb for $8 that would be brighter.......this is exactly what we wanted

we had a another one that the bulb replacement was $65 and only last 5-6 times...LOVE it,the price, and the way it installed....

Didn't quite fit on my pool with the pieces provided. I improvised and made it work, and it looks nice. I think a 2nd on would really give the pool amazing light from both directions. I have a 12x18 oval pool. I placed the light in the middle of the longer part, and it lights up most of the pool. However, both ends are definitely dimmer. Still, it makes the pool glow at night, and you can see the bottom of the pool. Makes night swimming a possibility now. Worth the money.

I had ordered this from Amazon. Next day we needed pool chems and went to pool store. I notice this and another model there on their dusty shelves for double the price of what I paid here. The next day the light arrived and I installed it.

First background on my situation. We bought our home in the winter as a spec home (about 30% built) when the snow melted I realized I bought a rock quarry. You might be thinking "oh I guess you have lots of rock." WRONG... i have LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of rock. At the time I was thinking "how I am going to get rid off all this stuff?" Ended up working with a guy from Florida and I was showing him pictures. He said "do you have any idea how much that stuff is worth!!!" So started a 8 year journey of using the rock and making lots of retaining walls, 35 foot waterfall into koi pond, paths..... I have become addicted to the rock and become sort of a wannabe stone mason. (my skills vary day to day and I just dry stack - it is tetris with hydraulics (BX-24 - LOVE IT - with bro-tek attachments) Anyway, I do my own landscaping and I put a LOT of effort into it and I am now doing the trail and error thing with landscape lighting. It was going to be BIG bucks to blast and cut (the rock) for a in-ground pool and since our season it about 4 weeks long (come on global warming) we went above ground and put a deck 3/4 around it (poor man's version of an infinity pool - HEY it works and it a "$" load cheaper.) Anyway - point of all of this is I am picky about what goes into my vast efforts and when I plugged in this light... I went "wow and it is a keeper".

Key points:

First - I freaking LOVE it. It casts and even light all the way around the pool.

I love this pool light and just installed it last night; however, I though for sure there would be an on/off switch. There isn't, you have to unplug it from the outlet to turn it off everytime. I still recommend this light based on the price.

This is is NOT a Nitelighter. This is the NiteBrite. This one is made to mount on the metal pipes that hold up a soft sided pool. That's kind of an important difference if you have a metal sided pool. It took me a few minutes of research to find that mistake.
