That said, they are bloody expensive, with similar quality socks from companies like People Socks selling multiple-pair sets at significantly lower prices. I like SmartWool better just because of the patterns on the socks--SmartWool's little stick figure icon is quite a bit more aesthetically pleasing than People Socks' "PS" logo. But SmartWool is twice the price! Holy schnikey Batman.
I do love these socks and wish I could get them at a more competitive price. As they are, I can't figure out how to justify the significantly higher price. As such, I do recommend these socks, just not to anyone on a budget. If money is a concern for you but you want a high (but not quite as high) level of quality, take a look at People Socks.
I also have Smartwool sweater I got at half price. Its one of the thickest they sell and it is fantastic in the winter. Keeps you warm but dry and if it does get warm, it breathes better to keep you cooler also. Its pricey but worth it.
