I use document wallets to carry student papers back and forth. I have strong preferences and this one meets all of them:
It has no internal dividers.
It is made of a sturdy plastic with no exposed edge (the edges are fabric bound).
The closure uses only elastic bands; in my experience, wallets with a button or knob trend to lose it quickly and then can't be closed.

This design is great - the gusset is fabric and it easily expands and folds down. It expands to hold a LOT of paper. The fabric is holding up better than folders that have plastic gussets. I also bought a clear one and I like that one best because I can easily read the identification label thru the plastic.
