This is a piece of junk. Was used one time and now will not work. Manufacturer says contact Amazon, Amazon says contact manufactuer. Nothing but a big run around. Amazon will not replace because it is more than 30 days old. Is about 70 days old, but who is going to use an item like this more than once in 30 days. Piece of junk. Don't buy anything manufactured by CE Smith. They even admitted they had a problem with some of these but still won't replace.

Great little oil changer. Read the direction, it says to only run for 5 minutes then wait 15 min before starting again. I used this to remove the oil from my IO boat motor. I actually ran mine for 7 min keeping my hand on the pump to insure it did not over heat. I also pulled the engine oil plug to verify how much oil was removed and was surprised when only a few drips is all that came out.

I'm a mechanic and I bought this for daily use and it died in about a month and a half. The all plastic pump broke up and locked the pump in place, it started smoking by the time I had turned the switch off. I liked the magnetic base and it worked great even though I had to prime it. If your looking for one for daily use don't buy this piece of rubbish but it may work for a few times a year. I went ahead and found and aluminum self priming pump for about double the cost and that should work great.

Nicely made 12 volt pump with hoses. Have not had it long enough to tell about durability, but it easily pumped the oil out of my lawn implement just fine. Some instructions on hose hookup would have been nice.

My old 12 volt oil pump gave it up last year so I purchased this Smith from Amazon. What a powerhouse! I've been breaking in a new 150 HP 4 stroke outboard and wanted to change the oil to 100% pure synthetic. I ran the motor for about 10 minutes at idle and got the oil warm enough for a complete change. It took about 2 minutes for the Smith to pull 5.5 quarts out through the dipstick hole into empty containers. Seems to be well built and draws liquid without any priming at all.

This thing is a piece of gunk!! Worked 1 time and that was it.....Took it apart and the
rubber wipers that do the pumping were deteriorating. The oil was eating the cheap Chinese
rubber. Bad design too in my opinion!

Junk! Hoses are too short. Would not pump 40W oil. Waste of my money! I will be buying the Jabco pro pump now. Wish I had put my money on a good pump to begin with.
