I find this Steven Smith version of Earl Grey tea to be extremely flavorful, unlike many other Earl Greys I have tried over the years. When I serve it to friends, they comment about the delicious taste and often ask for the name of the teamaker. I am more than willing to pay more for a product that is far superior to others. And the tea arrived on time, as I expected.

I picked this up somewhat hesitatingly at Whole Foods for about $11 a box. I am not normally a fan of tea bags, preferring loose leaf. I figured I'd try this out for the convenience.

The tea is very high quality and expertly blended. You get a quality bio-degradable bag filled with whole just enough whole leaves for a tasty 12oz mug of tea. The Assam and Ceylon blend works very nicely. The bergamot is very mild and does not overpower the base teas, which provide a wonderfully malty taste and rich mouth feel. It's probably my favorite Earl Grey variant that i have tasted over the years.

Highly Recommended!

I knew this tea would be something special--because even the cardboard Amazon box smelled good! Every time I open my cupboard of mugs, I'm greeted by the fragrant scent of this lovely tea. And it tastes as good as it smells once brewed. I highly recommend this Lord Bergamot (much, much better than what I can get in the grocery store).

I just started trying earl gray tea lattes and this tea came up as a recommendation after buying another brand, numi i think. This tea is so much better than any other tea I have had in a while and I have tried so, so many brands and types of tea. The packaging gives you a sense of quality as well. Try it

The expertise Steven Smith gained in being one of the founders of Stash Tea and Tazo Tea is evident in his most recent endeavor in founding Smith Tea. You are paying for what you get in Smith teas - the best quality that I've found anywhere. Totally worth the cost! Earl Grey has always been my favorite. Lord Bergamot is hands down the best Earl Grey. So much flavor! If you're lucky enough to be in Portland, OR, visit the classy Smith Tea Tasting Room. You can also look up the provenance of your particular box of tea to see exactly where it came from and who made it on the website.

The best tea this long time tea drinker has ever had. Steven Smith makes a superior product. Try it iced, for the most delicious iced tea you've ever had. For 2 quarts I used 4 of Lord B. tea bags and 1 plain tea bag.

Fabulous black tea... or really, tea of any kind. I don't usually like earl grey teas, but this one is spectacular. I think it's the quality of tea plants. I also made kombucha with this, and it was the the best kombucha ever! The batch after was made with Triple Leaf brand oolong, and tastes terrible in comparison. Smith's green tea and "meadow" are also house favorites. Pretty expensive, though, so we may start buying his loose leaf to save a bit.
