This is an excellent knife, especially at such a low price.
This is an excellent knife; very smooth blade motion, locks into place without jiggling, very sharp blade and point- very. Pant/belt clip is very well attached/tight- you won't have to worry about this falling loose, its almost idiot-proof. Tanto design gives very solid feel along with strong, solid spine. Highly recommended. Seller provides shipping information as well- very important to me.
So far, I am impressed with this item.
Blade came relatively sharp (no blade is ever perfect out of the package), but I have not sharpened it yet. I will use it and abuse it for a while before doing that.
I usually carry a Kershaw folder, but after a few 'high velocity' impacts with the garage floor, from about waist level, the tip had broken off twice, making it a really nice flat head folding screwdriver.
This blade looks well made, and hopefully the tanto edge will help if I happen to drop it.
I picked this up , due to its size, the glass breaker and seatbelt cutter. I already used the seatbelt cutter to cut through a few old backpack straps, just for test purposes. I found that a straight slice is not the way to go, you sort of have to 'wiggle' it left and right to get a quick cut. perhaps with enough tension, like a locked seatbelt, this may not be the case.
I asked my brother in law if I could test the glass breaker on his car, he did not allow me to. (Good thing I asked first huh...)
Much like other reviews, the black really nice, and the opening is a little 'tight', but that will loosen up with time and use.
I am not an emt or police officer, I am in the IT field, so this blade will mainly just open boxes, and be used to pry covers off printers, etc. I always carry a knife (unless at the airport or other place where it is not allowed), because you never know what is going to happen. I like the options of cutting seatbelts, and breaking glass, and for the price, this is a great little product!
Having carried this knife for a few months now, I really like it.Read more ›
My only negative is I wish it was an assisted opening knife to make it quicker to open. However I see that some would rather it be standard. It did not deter me from buying either way, and I am glad I did.
1.) nice very low carry pocket clip.
2.) Umm looks cool I guess. That's honestly all the pros.
1.) Rubber handle is a joke it is just a slightly rubber coated metal that peels off way too easily.
2.)blade lock is so thin and cheap it doesn't even stay locked half the time.
3.) Blade centering is so bad it actually scratches the blade against the line (pic in review).
4.) Deployment is so stiff you really need to have some practice to open it with a quick thumb snap.
5.) dull out of box.
6.)seat belt cutter is a gimmick! Seriously folks don't even use this in you car as an emergency escape tool. for your own safety buy anything else this can't even cut paper it's just a dull, hard to sharpen, box cutter slapped in the rear of this knife. I can't stress enough how important it is for your safety and safety of your loved ones that you do not rely on this seatbealt cutter even when Sharp it still can't cut through a seat belt I've tried.
7.) every other complaint about poor screws and bad coating on blade and wrong side pocket clip.
I really tried to like this knife I've carried it for 2 weeks and already blade play is off the charts tightening it doesn't even help and I've only used this bladevfor cardboard and various packaging. Final verdict : save your $20 and put it towards a real knife like a benchmade, spyderco, SOG, or Gerber. It will last you longer and will ACTUALLY HELP SAVE YOUR LIFE IN AN EMERGENCY.
