It fits over a standard M4 flash hider, but when I tried to use it with a muzzle brake I purchased separately the muzzle brake was a tiny bit too wide for the circular opening on the knife.
So I guess I would say make sure you are using the standard mil-spec bayonet lug and flash hider if you want to make sure it fits on your gun.
The knife looks bad-as*, is super sharp, and comes with a great sheath and holster, very tactical looking.
Also note-worthy: It came packaged very well with the knife seperate from the sheath and the blade wrapped in cardboard. (The blade can get scratched if shipped in the sheath because bayonet sheaths usually have something metal inside them that push against the blade to keep the blade from moving around and making noise.
Really sharp, thick handguard, made of very high quality materials.
Nylon on sheath seems a little thin but shouldn't be a problem.
I recently sent this knife back to Amazon because I changed my mind and purchased the Smith and Wesson SW1B Special Ops (on Amazon). The SW1B doesen't have the large barbed/saw edge on the back of the blade. Also the SW1B has a double sided edge.
All in all the SW3B is a pretty good knife but I wouldn't use it as a bayonet due to the large barbed/saw edge.
