About the Author

Smith Wigglesworth (1859–1947) was born in England in 1859. Immediately after his conversion as a boy, he had a concern for the salvation of others and won people to Christ, including his mother. He became a plumber by trade, yet he continued to devote himself to winning many people to Christ on an individual basis. In 1882, he married Polly Featherstone, a vivacious young woman who loved God and had a gift of preaching and evangelism. It was she who taught him to read and who became his closest confidant and strongest supporter. They both had compassion for the poor and needy in their community, and they opened a mission, at which Polly preached. Significantly, people were miraculously healed when Wigglesworth prayed for them.

In 1907, Wigglesworth's circumstances changed dramatically when, at the age of forty–eight, he was baptized in the Holy Spirit. Suddenly, he had a new power that enabled him to preach, and even his wife was amazed at the transformation. This was the beginning of what became a worldwide evangelistic and healing ministry that reached thousands. He eventually ministered in the United States, Australia, South Africa, and all over Europe. His ministry extended to the time of his death in 1947.

The kindle version is a complete different book, its only around 10 pages, and its not a even an actual book, kinda sucks amazon keeps listing books under kindle version, when there isn't a kindle version available.. I bought it thought it was kindle version of the same book as paper version, BUT nope. So returning it. Ill buy the actual paper book now since that's the only one around :(

When I read books by the Wiggles and Lake and other of God's Generals, my faith levels skyrocket! The best thing is that we can do the same things. Jesus did say "Even greater things"!!! Now, that's exciting!!! Start praying for everyone! Hey, you have a fifty/fifty chance.
For foundational teaching, I love Derek Prince. If you are still sick after speaking the Word, check out Henry Wright's "A More Excellent Way" as it addresses the spiritual roots to many diseases!

Reading this book recharges your faith in a God of miracles and love! It uplifts your spirit to read about a person of such simple, childlike faith who was ever ready to be used by God. One of the best reads in many years of Christian reading.

During the Sunday morning worship service, my pastor [Marcus Tate] shared highlights concerning Smith Wigglesworth. Truthfully, it was my first time hearing his name so I made a note of his name. There was an urgency to read about his life. Due to a sudden severe illness, which kept me up all night to the early morning hours, I was not fit to make my way to service. I am in perfect health, which the aches and pains made no sense to me. A flash of history waves my thoughts concerning attacks right-before-service, I knew it was time to press my way to worship service, that a breakthrough word [knowledge of the word] was about to hit the atmosphere. One of the members telephone me early that morning as I was lying down with a timer to rest my body before preparing for church. Honestly, I was considering staying home to rest because the attack was awful. Needless to say, I made my way to church. The moment I stepped into the door, Sister Eunice placed in my hand a small bottle of anointed oil, which I placed in my purse. She mentioned that Pastor and His Mother both prayed over the oil. Grateful of a determined mind beyond the condition of the body, I was saturated with beautiful worship, hospitable people, and the message titled: "The Mind of Christ Concerning the Word of God." In the 360 circle of his presentation of the gospel, he mentioned the name Smith Wigglesworth. Today, is October 8, 2012, I woke up with the same intense pain. Then I remembered the oil, and the contents of the Sunday message concerning the Word of God. I anointed my body with the oil as I spoke concerning the Power of God's Word. Here I am, seated her at my desk because all the pain left my body at once. All the Glory belongs to God!Read more ›

Smith, through his many stories and topics in this book, shows us that we as believers don't have to wait for some mighty work of God in our lives to start walking in the power of God--God has already given us the authority over sickness, disease, etc. through His Son, Jesus. He shows us our hang ups, encourages us to let go of those, and then gives us examples of what happens when we do--not only in our own lives but also in the lives of those we will impact as result.

Whenever I read Smith Wigglesworth's sermons, my faith is challenged to reach farther than it's ever reached before! In this collection of messages entitled "Smith Wigglesworth On Healing," once again I found myself wanting so much more of God!

Wigglesworth didn't write his books, he preached them. This plumber-turned-preacher was one of the most faith-filled dynamos I've ever heard from. On page after page he confronted me with how much more there is to experience in my relationship with God, and then backed it up with his own personal experiences. In this particular book, the focus is on people who were physically healed (including Wigglesworth himself) from diseases which perplexed doctors. Time and again I found myself saying, "Yes! I want to see this today!"

If you want to give your faith a boost to believe God for miracles, I can think of no better preacher to read than Smith Wigglesworth.

If you believe in miracles, you will love this book. I am familiar with his ministry somewhat. This preacher is the only one who could raise the dead. If you believe in the Gifts of the spirit, you will thoroughly enjoy this book on healing. This book should be read by people who do not understand The Gifts of The Spirit.
