About the Author
Brian Halsey is an American Literature teacher from New Jersey. He enjoys reading, writing, art and leg dropping people from the top ropes. You can find Halsey climbing mountains, swimming in oceans, and teaching his children to launch perfectly crafted snowballs. He believes in crisp high fives and the power of positivity. He is the type of dude who yells ‘KOBE’ every time he shoots a basketball. The release of his 2016 Ebook (Of Gods & Gators) earned him several million dollars, which he quickly squandered on a high risk ‘Time Machine’ investment. Brian Halsey is set to return in 2017 with Snake Oil Salesman of the Week, a unique blend of horror and comedy. You can find him on the internets for updates and (un)professional tips on how to powerbomb your enemies into oblivion.

Andy James is the every man, high on life and drugs, he is motivated by greed and an inevitable bad deal with the Devil. Consequently, despite his efforts to win back his soul, the Devil thinks Andy James is a real jerk, too. Andy James is searching for his soul more so after he has sold it to Old Scratch than before, and despite his absolute certainty that he can beat the Devil at his own game, it’s just as likely Andy James couldn’t pour piss from a boot if the directions were written on the heel.
Snake Oil Salesman of the Week is a peek into the mind of men and the countless, horrible things dudes say to each other merely for fun, especially if it hurts the other guy a bit. The irrational things only men think are funny, horrible things such as going to hell, the lust men have for dying young or better yet killing themselves for fun and pleasure, and sure, clinically it is abnormal, yet it is this base desire men cannot help but obey Halsey expresses most ingeniously throughout the story.
Brian Halsey’s writes in a fast and dangerous style not unlike Burroughs; he is a train wreck hoping for a hairpin turn, he is blind drunk on words and his story is a loaded gun he expressly wields in its reader’s face. If you crave unspoiled, hard-earned story telling that will make you laugh, grind your teeth and clearly offend you at least once, then I highly recommend Snake Oil Salesman of the Week.
