I like the fact that the containers are glass and the entire set is dishwasher safe. I've had these for a couple of months now and use them for taking food to work and storing leftovers and other foods in the fridge. They still look like new after 2 months of being cleaned in the dishwasher (we use Lemi Shine dish tabs which I find are not as harsh and clean effectively without fading). Lids go in the top rack and glass goes in the top or bottom rack. Containers are microwave safe but lids are not so you'll need to use a separate cover. Yes, lids can be a little tricky to get on at first but you'll soon learn that closing flaps on opposite sides together, using the top of the palm of your hands, works best. They click and seal really well. Great storage containers!

Three years later, they are like brand new

We have had this set for three years now and they are like still like new. We use them every day for lunches and leftovers and the tops snap on like it is the first time. I put the tops in the dishwasher with the glass and they come out clean and the lids do not lose their shape or rigidity. Love them.

Great Product at a competitive price

I did a lot of research before purchasing these glass food storage containers. I made the transition to glass from plastic because I reheat my leftovers in the microwave, and do not like doing so in plastic. Therefore, I used to take the leftovers out of the plastic containers and put them in a ceramic dish. Double the cleaning!

These glass containers suit me perfectly. The glass is thick and looks to be chip proof because the rims around the top are thick - not fragile. They are sturdy all around. The tops are brightly colored green and the snap locks are easy to open and close, but create a good seal. There is a removable rubber lining in the inside rim of the lid, which creates a tight fit. I am not sure if this rubber will erode with time - especially if you consistently put them in the dishwasher. Time will tell. However, for the moment, I am very happy with this product.

Good cookinking/storage pieces

I love these glass bowls - great as you can use them to cook in both microwave and regulat oven. Some of the shapes are nestable with their covers on. It's a good selection of sizes. Some of the covers are a little stiff at first, but loosen up quickly to be easily locked on. I think heating in glass is safer than using plastic in the microwave, and much easier to clean.

I have tons of plastic storage pieces but I always reach for these first. Not only are they better for you nutritionally speaking but they are the easiest for every other reason. The lids snap on securely (I don't put my lids in the dishwasher), the are so clear that when the "guys" get into the fridge they actually FIND the leftovers (okay more often anyway) and they are soooo much easier to clean. No more spaghetti sauce stains! I love these so much and will be eventually replacing all my plastic. They are just a tad harder to store because you have to be more careful but to me that's a plus because they don't get "tossed" into the back of the cabinet where you won't find them again. Even when the guys unload the dishwasher they get put away with a little more "care" than the plastic ones.

I was hesitant to buy this based on some of the reviews but I have to say, I'm happy that I did. I feel like I have had the opposite experience of all the bad reviews. The first day I had them (and many times since then) I have dropped them in the sink because I'm not used to washing slippery glass and I haven't had any chips or breaks. And I don't find them particularly difficult to snap shut; most of the time it's very easy but sometimes I have to use a downward motion to get them to snap but even then, it's easy. The gasket comes out of the circular lids pretty much every time but it's easy to put back in and the same thing happens with my Rubbermaid set, also. And lastly, somebody mentioned that some of the sizes are too small. I actually wish that there were another one or two small ones. I use them for condiments and salad dressings to bring to work and would like more than one.

I received some snapware glass containers a few years ago and I love them. The glass is useful for reheating, and also does not retain stains and odors from the food the way plastic containers do. Also, the lids are really snug and great for bringing leftovers to work (I put them right in my purse!).

I bought this set for a friend as a housewarming gift, and I found that they have made the glass parts even more sturdy than the ones I had. The one thing about these though is that sometimes you need to take out the rubber gaskets to clean them, and that is kind of annoying and time consuming. You don't have to do it every time though, as usually you don't get food stuck up in the gutters.

so we have been going through storage containers trying to find something worth keeping. Before these the best ones i found were the pyrex containers. they are nice, but the lids don't stay on as well as these. That being said the lids area a little hard to close at times on these but it gets a little easier with age. solid containers and lids. click really tight and you don't have to worry if they fly off your back seat on the way to work, they stay closed! no more spaghetti in the carpet. Would be 5 stars if they were a little easier to close, but i think its better that they are hard to close if it means they don't spill. I really don't think they can be beat for the price.

As a fanatic who detests storing food in plastic containers, I am happy to find this collection of high quality glass storage ware. I do wish there was another collection available in bigger sizes. The snap lids are very secure, air tight, and the glass is tempered so makes for a very durable container. I use these predominantly for storage of leftovers, but must note they keep cut fresh vegetables extraordinarily well. Pricey, but worth it.
