Let me start off by saying that this review will contain NO SPOILERS. I really like the characters in this show; each actors performed so well and made me believe that they really fit into the roles they were supposed to play. When I first saw the main character, Pete, I said to myself, "Wow he really reminds me of Jesse Pinkman." And next thing I know, I see Bryan Cranston on screen and I got really excited. I hope there will be more episodes to come, but since it is an Amazon Pilot, who knows how many months it will be until we see a new episode or even if we will see new episodes. I hope it doesn't get the same treatment as Man In the High Castle because that show was amazing as well.

The first episode of Sneaky Pete paced along very well and had great character development. Each character feels like an integral part of the show already (maybe except the Grandpa). In a way this show kind of reminds me of White Collar, except it doesn't have that "light" vibe. I don't know how else to describe it, but there is a more serious tone to Sneaky Pete and that's what I really like about it. A con-man using the head hunting business to catch other criminals is very intriguing because it lets you see various types of criminal minds. There were a couple of suspenseful moments where you think someone suspects him or a character might be in danger, but never enough for it to be a nail biter. The deciding factors on what makes this show successful will be its ability to tell a great story, how different and creative the criminals are, and the interesting ways they will solve each problem. Overall, a very interesting show with great potential and I hope they will continue on with this series.

I couldn't stop watching this show and I can't wait to see the next episode. It's a wonderful story with fabulous cast and I hope I get to see a lot more of Bryan Cranston. Giovanni Ribisi is such an incredible actor, he really made me love his character and I love everyone in his "borrowed" family. I can see how he's falling in love with this family and I'm already worrying for the possibility of him losing them. And the fact that they are in the bond business makes it a lot of fun. It's a great, great show.

Great show. Great cast, great premise and great team behind it. Really enjoyable with a nice combo of levity and drama while still really being dramatic throughout, if that makes sense. I just really hope they pick this one up because I can't wait to see more.

How is this not an actual series yet?! The one reason I decided to watch this show was Giovanni Ribisi. I knew nothing about the show or that it was just a pilot. Because I am such a fan of his work, I took a leap of faith and decided to watch. The story is interesting in that he play a con man fresh out of jail who takes his jailmate's place on his family farm and begins to work as a bail bondsman while hiding out from bad guys he owes money to. Then, to my delight, I see Margot Martindale on the screen, and I am immediately hooked! She is a wonderful actress and I can't wait to see more of her. I didn't even know Bryan Cranston had anything to do with this show until he appeared at the end. Now I'm sitting here wondering why I have to vote for this series and who made the mistake of not just picking this up for a full series? Are these people crazy? Sterling cast, great plot, and it leaves you wanting more. So give me more!

░░░░░WONDERFUL NEW SHOW░░░░░

Giovanni Ribisi could play anything from the King from England to a wet paper towel and he would make you completely believe him. He is an amazing actor and his role as Sneaky Pete is no exception.

The show itself is well written and interesting. It walks that fine line between plausible and completely unbelievable. It takes a Hollywood spin on the bail bonds industry and what life in it is really like, but it doesn't exaggerate things to the point where the viewer can't commit to buying into the plot.

Ribisi plays a wholly awful person (Marius / Pete...depending on who he's talking to.) He's a con man who manages to lie himself into someone's else's family.

The interesting twist on the whole show is that he's an ex con hiding from the criminal element (that wants to kill him) by hiding with a family of bail bondsmen and cops, which obviously puts him in direct contact with the aforementioned criminal element he's trying to avoid. It also surrounds him with people who detect liars and criminals for a living.

The family dynamic is also setting up to be really interesting. Ribisi plays on the female lead's (Julie, played by Marin Ireland) propensity to trust the wrong people, but may have a romantic interest in her, which complicates things because he's pretending to be her cousin...but he isn't really.

And refreshingly Marin Ireland plays a very believable character. And she's unfortunately unique in that she's a strong female lead who doesn't sacrifice her feminine personality traits. Instead she uses them as the strength of the character. She cares about her family and makes that a strength and motivation to make her business succeed, not a weakness. As a result she comes across as being very real.
