From the Author

I woke up at 3:00 AM in early December, 2011, with a story weighing heavily on my mind and heart. I tried to fall back asleep but couldn't. Instead, I got dressed, got in my car, and drove to the closest 24-hour Denny's restaurant.

Sitting in the back corner with my laptop and a massive plate of greasy breakfast food, I wrote the opening two chapters of what would become "The Sneezing Christmas Tree."

It's been my joy to complete the book and publish it -- first in December 2011 and then a new version with full color illustrations for Christmas 2012.

I have enjoyed sharing it with my daughters and others, and I pray it's a blessing to your heart as well.

This is such a timeless tale of the faith of children to believe in things that don't make sense - like a talking Christmas tree and the love of our savior, Jesus. I was particularly touched by Emily the Christmas tree's wise words: "The greatest sadness I can imagine would have been to go through life without ever getting to do what I was born to do." That is definitely a lesson that is not just a seasonal message. I think you'll find yourself reading this story to your kids every Christmas!

This story is about and for children, but the application hits home for adults. I remember the trees and the toys and the stories of my youth. I better appreciate my wife, who decorates the tree with splendor and beauty.

This story tells children, and adults, that we are made for so much more, and to miss our purpose in life would be the saddest event of all.

A great story to read, to share, and to cherish. I will be sharing this with my Grandchildren.

Children and adults alike are fascinated when the unexpected happens. Such is the case in The Sneezing Christmas Tree where a young girl and her little brother discover they have a Christmas tree with a very special ability. The author shares the message of Christmas in a heartwarming, fun to read story. The illustrations by Becky Boone are lovely. Note: it is a fairly lengthy childrens book- I might divide it into a few nights for bed time story reading.

Meet Mom, Dad, Alice and Tommy as they bring home a Christmas tree that Tommy has named Emily. It is too late to decorate Emily that night so they have to wait until the following evening. Alice thinks Tommy is joking when he tells her that there is something in the tree that is sneezing! Alas, Emily has caught a cold so the secret is out that trees can talk!

I just love how the author has Emily saying that it is not good to keep secrets from each other as a family. (This can be rare in kids books these days.) HOWEVER this does put Emily and the children in a predicament. How are they going to tell Mom and Dad? Tommy sorts it out!

This is an absolutely delightful, well-written story that is now going to join our "must reads" at Christmas time. Emily reminds the children that Jesus had to come to die for each one of us and that each of us needs to find our purpose in life. It is actually quite a tear jerker so be ready with the tissues as in some ways this story does have a sad ending. I highly recommend getting this book and reading it aloud to the whole family this Christmas season.

I liked this tale of the Sneezing Christmas Tree a lot! So, I am giving this ebook five stars Aaron! You did a great job in writing this ebook for children I suppose, yes? But I think anyone any age could enjoy such a sweet and caring story and with a Christmas tree like Emily who really shared an important message and probably not only for the children but anyone and everyone! So, I as already mentioned above this ebook is great for practically any age. I received this ebook for free and was asked by the author who wrote it, if we liked it if we,the reader would do a review on it,see? So here it is! By Angela

I never take time to write reviews for products, and if I could rate this 10 stars I would. I am not a crier, but tears were streaming down my face by chapter 3, as I read it to my 4- and 6-year-old daughters. I was truly touched by the comparison in the book. I believe the author was inspired to write this book, to connect the fun, joyous moments of Christmas like cutting down a Christmas tree with the real reason we acknowledge the holiday, the birth of our Savior. May all who read this book be blessed and have a Merry Christmas! And God bless the author. Your time spent at Denny's was well spent.

The Sneezing Christmas Tree by Aaron Kerr
Alice recalls one year when they got their Christmas tree Emily. They had driven to many tree farms and finally found the one for them.
Til they get it home and it started sneezing.
Her brother Tommy and her listen as the tree not only sneezes but talks to them. They learn a lot about Emily's life by listening to her.
Alice remembers what happens when the holiday is over and they did cut the tree down, so it must die? The kids question the tree and Emily will tell them more the next time they talk...
The real meaning of Christmas, Christ was born and died for all of us. The story goes on with Emily requesting 3 things from the kids...
Loved how the kids decorated the trees-similar to what we've done in the past with the kids. Good story and meaning to the real holiday.

What an absolute blessing. This morning I found this free book. This afternoon I snuggled by the fire with my 3 boys reading about the true meaning of Christmas. A much needed reminder to help all of us focus on Jesus. Thank you for becoming a new Christmas tradition in our family. My boys asked if we could read this book every year and my answer is Yes!
