Music sounded great with the movie but not by itself. I didn't even listen to the whole CD. But that's me.

Snitch may be your typical Dwayne Johnson action-thriller, but I assure you that composer Antonio Pinto delivers a noteworthy score here. The approach is minimal, with a subtle soundscape of electronic tones, strings and percussion. It's a focused journey with a rewarding end, and it has such a clear emotional depth that the listener will instantly absorb.
The most important thing to note about the score is its incredible precision. The score is not big nor does it boast bombastic themes. The music stays just under the surface for most of the narrative as it bubbles. Bursts of emotionally nuanced arrangements sometimes peek their way through, and they really act as the hook that sucks you in. Pinto manages to create tension throughout, but while listening to the score it was the character's dedication that really bled through. The music has a purpose and you're on that ride throughout. It just has this feeling that it's determined to see the journey through to the end, and it's a perfect reflection of the character's motives in the film. The final 3 tracks really add the emotional touch and resolution that the score was working towards, and it works so well. Pinto bookends the motif he opened with and wraps everything together with warmth and comfort after such a broodingly tense journey.
Snitch is an amazing effort. At times it's haunting, tense, moving and above all memorable. The character's journey is so focused and so perfectly reflected in the music. The score doesn't have a wide range of depth, but it's incredible precision and subtle approach make it a very rewarding listen. Antonio Pinto does a lot with little and the score should be experienced by anyone who appreciates a nuanced approach versus the harsher alternative that we see often with these types of movies.

I love the content. However, this beautiful music has been destroyed during compression.
Encoding fail:
Easily noticeable at the beginning of track three "The Bust" Digital Noise during silence to barely audible transitions.
Instead of a smooth transition, the transition starts and hiccups with a compression pop/crackle.
Such a shame this is a wonderful composition destroyed during encoding.
Edit:The artist has a version on Soundcloud. This version appears to have no digital faults.
I have tested the three main Vendors and they all suffer from this fault.
itunes version X
Google Play version X
amazon version X

Not that I hated the movie. I did not see it as there was a audio sound track on the disc instead of the movie. My mistake not seeing that on the order. too costly to return so I just bit the price.
