Not safe for pets

" this dog seat provides a safe and secure place for your dog to enjoy all the action" This quote taken from the description is untrue. Neither the back or sides have any support other than foam rubber. First time I put my 40lb. dog in it he fell off the back before going 20ft. and was hanging by his collar till he slipped out of it. "Includes harness to keep pet securely in seat". See note above about security. The harness is secured in the middle of the seat, really hard to hook up dog collar, needs to be on one side or the other. This product is not as claimed, and to return it costs 1/3 the original price plus a re-stocking fee. Never will buy from this seller again.

Was at first concerned because other reviews stated it was too flimsy.
When I received product I was surprised to see how sturdy the walls actually are.

Could have tie down options on sides instead of in the middle, but still works awesome.

This Carrier Nearly Killed Our Dog

This product nearly killed my 4-month-old labradoodle, a dog weighing only 22 pounds. Because the carrier lacks any type of internal structure or boning, it is very flimsy and buckles and collapses under any pressure applied to the sides or back. My puppy, who was attached to the built in restraining leash, rolled over the back of the seat and was left dangling by her collar until we could pull over and free her from the thing. She'd almost strangled and also was banged around and burned by the exhaust pipe. She now is terrified by the prospect of riding the ATV with us. The item is certainly not suitable for either large or small dogs; my husband cut open the back cover and inserted a PVC pipe to provide some firmness to the item, but it still is too flimsy for safe use. It also is poorly assembled with puckers and ill-fitted corners and seams; it was a great idea, but very badly realized. Hopefully, another manufacturer will produce a similar item with proper reinforcements.
