The story follows the first ever vampire, Brogio, and his husky dog vampire. It also follows the revenge that the gods, want against Brogio, and his family.
I enjoyed reading the this book, and how the author wrote the story from Snow Blood's point of view. Snow Blood is the dog that Brogio turned into a vampire.
I would recommend the book. It is a good read.
Full Disclosure: I received this product for free or at a discounted price for my honest opinion. I am not under any obligation to provide a positive or 5 star review. This is my honest opinion.
The story is filled with deception, family loyalty and intense battles to defend and protect the vampires from multiple enemies. The descriptions are believable and take you deep into a world of nature and spirits.
This was a most unusual angle for a vampire story that I think was very interesting. It is also part 2 of a series and I look forward to the next part to this vampire story.
Should SNOW BLOOD Season 2 be the reader’s first exposure to Carol’s ongoing story a capsule version of the first book is helpful: ‘When Brogio must turn Snow, a beautiful white husky, in order to save the dog, a series of events are unleashed that reveal a sinister plot against the father of all vampires. As life and true death experiences bond the master vampire and his newly transformed vampire canine together, they unravel a conspiracy that when resolved may return Selene, the love of Brogio’s life, back to him and set him free from the lonely existence that has plagued him for thousands of years.’ Given that bit of introduction, this book follows the tale: ‘As dark forces close in on Brogio and his beloved children, the end of all vampires could come from a single blow at any moment. When Kane sacrifices himself to save Snow Blood, the pack believes he is truly lost forever. After the devastating loss, a new ever-present threat of destruction surrounding Brogio, the original vampire, threatens his kindred. While the pack stands guard watching for predators on the outskirts of Brogio’s winery estate, Snow Blood discovers Selene is keeping secrets from Brogio. This deception and Selene’s rapidly growing strength and independence could create a rift between the father of all vampires and his mate. Snow Blood again helps hold their love together as he tries to protect them from the approaching evil. At the same time, Snow Blood suspects that Nova, the beautiful female wolf that attracts him in the forest, is part of a sinister plot to destroy his master … but he can’t resist her power over him.’
In a rare mixture of vampire tales, paranormal characters, and true romance, Carol succeeds in allowing this tale told through the eyes of a dog bring an entirely fresh approach to paranormal romance. It rings and sings and is full of heart – rich in the sense of respect for the animal kingdom while allowing the tale to satisfy those who lust after stories of the undead. Highly recommended. Enjoyed the vamp & canine characters. The story held my interest & everything was tied up .... Except what happened withSnow & Nova...but use your imagination for that.
There are a few typos, waste for waist but that happens.
