Snow White with the Red Hair: Season One
Snow White with the Red Hair Blu-ray contains episodes 1-24 of the anime directed by Masahiro Ando. Just as everything seemed to be falling into place, Shirayuki’s happily ever after is put on hold. After word of a mysterious boy searching for a girl with apple-red hair reaches the castle, Shirayuki is swept into a harrowing journey that will put her face to face with her past as she tries to determine what her future holds.
Product Description
Once upon a time in the Kingdom of Tanbarun, there lived an independent young woman with beautiful red hair. A skilled herbalist by trade, Shirayuki used her knowledge of plants and medicine to heal the people of her city. But when her apple-red hair drew the unwanted attention of the devious Prince Raj, she was left with two options-become his unwilling concubine, or leave her home forever. In the dead of night, she cut her hair and escaped to the neighboring kingdom of Clarines where she was found by a kind young man named Zen. The mysterious stranger turned out to be none other than the dashing prince of her newfound kingdom. And with his protection, Shirayuki was finally free to chase her dreams.
Now, she's set her sights on becoming a royal court herbalist-and it will take a lot more than poisoned apples, scheming lords, and challenging exams to stand in her way.

The visuals in this anime from character to background are great. A host of excellent voice talents on both Dub and sub teams.
Our heroine sets out on a journey for freedom as the prince of her country wants her for her unusual red hair. Along the way, she befriends a young man who just so happens to also be a prince of the neighboring nation. With her grit and strength of character, the heroine befriends the prince who welcomes her into his kingdom.
Using her skills as an herbalist, our heroine seeks employment in her new homeland's castle not only for securing a job but to maintain the growing friendship with the prince. She is determined to earn her position in the castle, rather than use her connection with the prince as an easy bypass to get the job. This strength of character not only endears her with the prince but to everyone around her.
Before long, it becomes an open secret that the prince's heart belongs to this young woman.
I really enjoy this show. It's a classy romance that features a determined young woman who is marching forward, without an attitude or sacrificing her feminine charms. The heroine is not overbearing and is not trying to prove her superiority to everyone on the planet. How refreshing!
This anime is safe for younger audiences, and I would recommend this heroine for young girls to model after. Have a dream and pursuit it, and don't step on everyone along the way. There is a good balance of having a strong yet gentle woman here. She's lovely!
If you bought the first released edition of this anime, you will have to purchase the other half of the show in a separate product. It's been a while since the release, but I really hope this show gets another season somewhere in the future. It's so pleasant and all the characters are endearing.
I found this to be a funny find: Brina Palencia who is the English voice actress to Shirayuki in this anime also plays another female character named Shirayuki in "Aria the Scarlet Ammo".
A red Apple hair colored female commoner, Shirayuki, befriends a neighboring kingdom's prince, Zen, as she flees her home kingdom to escape, Raj, its prince who wants her to become his concubine. Shirayuki and Zen go through many different and sometimes interesting obstacles but still end of falling in love.

The Blu Ray is both in English and Japanese, the Japanese audio comes in perfectly, the English voices are SO LOW you can hear anything, but the background music is normal.... I've never been so disappointed... It's like that for all disks, no issues with other disks. I watch them on my Xbox one and I've had no issues with the Xbox or my TV speakers doing this with any other recorded disk. I'm scared to buy another copy for fear it will have the same poor audio :,(
