Annabelle wanted Jackson also but they never seemed to connect and she ended up engaged to a total wimp! When that blows up she ends up in the mountains at her families cabin to lick her wounds. She has no way of knowing Jackson is there to rest and recuperate also!
Will these two be able to connect? Will they let the fears, her brother and the past keep them apart?
I just love this story and highly recommend you read the others as well, not needed but you don't know what you're missing if you dont!

5 out of 5 stars
The story Snowed In (A Warranted Series Novella) by Shannon Nemechek is a military/romance book. This is an amazing story that I loved reading. It drew me in from the very beginning and I couldn’t put it down until I had read the end. This is a beautiful love story. It takes you into the mind and feelings of Annabelle and the man that she is in love with. You also read of his thoughts and feelings as well. Annabelle is a hard-working woman who takes care of the family business. She is exhausted, over-worked, and frustrated. She needs time to regroup. She has decided to spend some time away at the cabin that her family has in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. He is a soldier that is still recovering from an ambush that left him both physically and mentally scarred. He has decided to take an offer to use a cabin in Colorado for some time on his own. This is a book that had my emotions going up and down all the time. These are two characters that I grew to love and wanted them to find happiness. He is a man that knows Annabelle is the one for him. However he has been injured and doesn’t feel good enough for her anymore. Reading how this soldier feels about himself made me feel sad. He still has quite a road to recovery and doesn’t want to be a burden to Annabelle. Annabelle’s only wish for love is with a man that she has not seen in quite a while however her thoughts are always of him and the deep feelings that she has for him. Call it destiny/fate/coincidence these two are in the same place at the same time. What does the future hold for them? Will they take this opportunity and declare their feelings for each other? Will they finally find themselves in each other’s arms where they have always wanted to be? This is an author who has created two characters and writes in a way that makes you deeply feel all of their emotions. There are times when I had tears in my eyes. It is a book that I wished was a little longer as I wanted to read more about the two amazing characters. It is a story well worth the time reading. This is an author who creates wonderful stories with amazing characters. I can’t wait to read what she writes next. This is a story that includes adult subject matter and steamy scenes. It would be recommended for those 18 years of age or older.
Annabelle Bryant is hard working woman that takes care of the family brewery business. She takes a regroup in the family cabin located in the Rocky Mountains. Before she goes, she catches her fiance in a composition position but instead of feeling upset she feels relieves because she didn’t love him. The relationship is more out of family connections. She heart really belongs to Jackson Tolliver.
Jackson Tolliver is a the best friend of Andrew Bryant, Jr, both are part of the Special Forces.
“Andrew and Jackson were stationed at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina; they were members of the elite Ninth Special Forces. Tolliver had been injured during an ambush in the mountains of the Takur Ghar region of Afghanistan, the same attack where two of their buddies had been captured and tortured.”
To help Jackson recover and get some much needed rest, Andrew offers the cabin for a few weeks, which accepts. Jackson still has feelings for Annabelle but after his injury is unsure because he knows he isn’t the man he was when they first kissed.
Neither of them knows that it the other is at the cabin. What will happen when they meet again?
I loved that it was short but it also made me want to the read the first full length book. I felt like I missing something involving the characters and their backstories but I still got a lot of backstory while reading this.
I especially loved the ending.
“Yea, it does, baby, and I love you too. Looks like we are stuck with each other.” Annabelle paused for a moment, turning around to face Jackson and kissing him lightly on the cheek. “Yea. I think so, and I believe we are snowed in.
Now I am just anxious for the next installment. How could you leave it like that?
