This is a well-written book that held my attention from beginning to end. I love the descriptions of Mackinac Island and the simple way of life for those who live there. I look forward to reading the rest of the books in the series.
The protagonists, Tess and Lukas are two people who are both trying to mend their present life despite their unfortunate pasts that cripples them in some of the aspects of their lives. They both struggle to let go and find solace in the ventures that they choose at the present. Yet, letting go and moving on always entails the rough road. When both of them met in Michigan, the attraction is real and they have the choice to fight for it or be consumed by the fears that the past brought to them. Tess and Lukas’s stories are certainly relatable.
This creation by Kimberly Loth shows us that we can move mountains and gets past through the barriers that hinder us to forgive ourselves and that after all, we all deserve bliss. This is to remind us all that despite bitter experiences, may we choose to love, love, love, after all. I certainly salute the author for making this series. Very well written, orderly, wonderful pacing, no explicit scenes – just pure life and love. Another great read that is worth my recommendation! This is the best in the genre that I have read so far this year!
Ooh, I loved Snowfall and Secrets! The hero and heroine were adorable together, from the very beginning and it only got better. Ms. Loth is one of my new favorite authors and you can bet I won’t be missing a single book from this moment forward. (And if I already missed any you can bet I’ll be doing a little backtracking right away…lol). Ms. Loth makes the reader “feel” the emotions from the characters and gives our hearts a few extra thumps now and then throughout the story. What a truly touching romance you won’t want to put down! Don’t miss this one! 5 Stars!
This book seemed like a nice first effort (I don't know if it was or not, I haven't looked it up). I will look hopefully for a more mature writing style from this author in the future! I really think she has it in her!
As a mostly irrelevant aside, when I bought this book in September, the author's name was Kierra Quinn and her biography seemed to be of a different person than Kimberly Loth, just a tad confusing.
