Lady Sarah Maxwell is in a whole heap of trouble. Which is odd considering, as the bluestocking of her family, she normally spends her time ensconced in books, not adventures. This is another amazing, sweet and swoony read from the Seasons Of Love series. Sarah was just going about her normal day didn't expect to experience a love adventure that will cause her to see many situations and people in a different light and at the same time discover herself and the real Jake. Jake was not who she thought he was. She had tons of assumptions based on his naughty and rude behavior towards herself.

Jake's and Sarah's love story was unplanned unwanted in the beginning, making the discovery of their real feelings for each other a lot more swoony, exciting and entertaining! Their short snowy adventure together created so many changes with their situation and views. Their love story is less dramatic because they are both very direct and straightforward with each other. This story has the sweetest and heartwarming ending.

This series is full of fun and keeps your attention. I just wish the author would do a little more research and not use so many anachronisms. “Deck the Halls” was not given English words until 1862. It was a Welch hymn. There are other words as well that were not typical of the time. While the story line is pleasing, there’s nothing that really ties this story to the regency period. No historical details, no descriptions of furniture, clothing, buildings or architecture. It’s more of a 2020 story with a few minor details of the early 1800s thrown in. The authors do a fantastic job describing the feelings and emotions of the hero and heroine. Please make it a little more regency please, if that’s the genre you’re trying to write about.

She can't stand him because of his drinking his behavior and so much more but when they get trapped by a snowstorm at a village away from from the house party, she starts to see he is nothing like what she thought he was and he makes her feel better about herself.. And he gives her a taste of adventure along with love that she will not be letting go.. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.. I definitely look forward to the next book in this series..

I enjoyed reading about Sarah and Jake. I guess it took being away from her sisters to finally be herself, it also helped to have Jake there to finally see that she was hiding her insecurities. They went to the village and got snowed in, stuck at an inn. They sang carols and played the piano, which she was terrible at and he was very good at besides he had an excellent singing voice. I'm glad they got their HEA. I highly recommend this book! 👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤

Yes, it is a sweet romance novel, with a bit of depth. The authors do forget the simplicity of awe and wonder in chaste relationships, the kissing of those who had never even touched without gloves. Their early kisses would have been very tender, more of love and wonder and less of passion. Apart from that, this is a lovely story and a real winner. I nearly forgot the 21st century language - not a plus!
