Editorial Reviews

Review

“Polished, intelligent, and inventive . . . high-grade stuff, laced only with wit, a touch of feminism, and myriad, entertaining ambiguities.”
Kirkus Reviews

“An intricate psychological chess game . . . Sharp-edged humor, a devious, neo-Gothic plot that twists back on itself, and a lust for revenge impel the novel to its inexorable finale.”
Publishers Weekly

“Ekes out the tension . . . increasingly thrilling as the pages fly by.”
The Times (London)

Another fabulous Sarah Dunant novel. This incredible storyteller has done it again! Snowstorms uses cocaine dealing as a vehicle to have the heroine, Marla, confront Lenny the anti-hero coke dealer. It is Britian vs America; a fight to the finish. Both intellectuals, they vie for the affection of petite, beautiful,Elly who is torn between the love of her best friend, who is trying to rekindle a girlhood platonic love affair, and the love/lust/desire of her handsome American boyfriend who promises excitiment, drugs, sex, wealth and travel. The rest is classic Sarah Dunnant. Plot twists, murder, male-female conflicts galore and finally a spine-tingling thrilling ending. This is a must read for Dunant fans.

This is unlike some of Sarah Dunants books, b ut
equally unique and well written. It is set in modern
times but addesses a universal situation.

Sarah Dunant Is a master author, drawing us into lives and circumstances about which we know nothing. Personally, I prefer her historical novels of Italy but all show her attention to detail and research,
