Best known as founding member and lead guitarist of Journey, Neal Schön has enjoyed a remarkable career as one of rock n' roll's top virtuosos, with a hand in creating some of the most popular songs of all time. Beginning his career more than 35 years ago in the San Francisco Bay area, the 15-year-old guitar prodigy left home to join Santana. Schön moved on in 1973 to form Journey. With Journey and other projects, he has earned 19 Top 40 singles and 25 platinum and gold albums, was awarded the prestigious 'Legend Of Live Award' at the 2011 Billboard Touring Awards, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2005 and was individually inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall Of Fame in 2013. As the only member to record on all of Journey's albums, Schön continues with the band today in its latest incarnation.

Quite a variety of song styles, and everyone shares in the vocal duties. And I gotta say, with Deen on vocals, the two songs "Serenity" and "Love Finds a Way" are WAY better than all of the songs on the last Journey album put together. Seriously, these guys need to just form their own group.
The music is intense and high impact. Who is driving who? Mendoza and Castronova are just driving and pounding there way through this entire CD. You start to listen to Neal but that bass and drums you cannot avoid, great job guys.
I would see them live in a heart beat.
Reason for 4 stars: Vocals, just a hair off. If this threesome had an iconic lead singer it could be runner up for rock album of year.
The three of them trade off on vocals including the addition of Jack Blades (background vocals on a couple of tunes) from Night Ranger, they also co wrote tunes on this album.
Exotica, great Santana sounding song and Love Finds A Way, Castronova vocals, Journey sounding.
Packaging is great, nice paper and plastic, great booklet with musicians and lyrics.
Stereo production is great, no complaints. Best $10.00 CD I have bought in awhile.
The Tracks vocal credits are as follows
1. Take a Ride Vocals by Marco
2. So U (Mistakenly credits Deen), but is Marco is on Beginning and end of song and Neal on the Middle of song
3. Exotica an Instrumental
4. What you want - Song split between Marco and Neal
5. Love Finds a Way - Deen - The song is all Deen and the vocals are just amazing
6. On My Way - Marco - The Whole song is just Marco, Great Vocals
7. Serenity- Deen
8. Shelter - Deen first then Marco second
9. Big Ocean - Another Instrumental
Well that is the album. If you like these artists, they put out a great album that I can't stop listening to. Great Singing, Great Playing and Great Songwriting. Oh, By the way Jack Blades of Night Ranger does Co- Songwriting on a Number of tracks and even sings Back-up on a few tracks. Buy this album, You will love it as I do.
Dean does a great job also on Vocal . This 3 Piece band kicks butt .

Wish Neal would revert to his Santana gear and play with less effects like he did back then. Sounds too clinical. Read morePublished 8 months ago by CyberTiger
