"... outrageously subversive humorous writing that fools kids into thinking they are not seriously reading ...fantastically hilarious satirical advertisements ... And of course thepages are lavishly illustrated with a huge variety of visual jokes as well ... Highly recommended for all readers who snort out loud laughing." Sue Warren, Teacher-Librarian.
"So much gold in one book ... 5 Stars." Julie Grasso, reviewer and Goodreads author
"... apart from its non-stop entertainment value ... it offers achievable reading goals for kids who are reluctant to pick up a book. They can read a few pages at a time and still complete a story or segment." -- Dee White, reviewer, author, blogger
"... a laugh-out-loud package that will appeal to middle primary readers and could provide a 'hook' to catch reluctant readers ...hilarious fodder for reviewing some basic spelling and grammar rules..."-- Jennie Bales, Adjunct Lecturer, Master of Education (Teacher Librarianship)

I then read the book- it is silly, has potty humor (fart jokes and butt references), and poor spelling (Mitey Mikey cannot spell). The stories are short and made shorter because they are broken up into parts and separated with spoof commercials.
The misspelling are appropriate- Mitey Mikey "wrote" the book just like George and Harold "wrote" the Captain Underpants graphic novels.
This is a good transition book for a child who is "too old" for picture books, but does not have the interest to read traditional chapter books.
The amount of pictures make it a quick read, which can add to the confidence to a child because they "read a whole book."
It is fast paced and silly. There are spoofs and parodies ("Thomas the Tank" is great for those who were obsessed as a toddler with the trains) My only concern/ warning is Nan the Nudist- it is silly not salacious. She is an elderly lady and her nudity is covered by objects. Some might find this objectionable for a younger audience.
I received this as an ARC. I give it 3 stars because the potty humor is not something I want my 9 year old to read, but if he was struggling to find books to read- the humor is not worse than what he watches on Cartoon Network. I am not comfortable giving this book to my 9 year old without removing Nan.
'So Wrong 2' is the second book... but it can be read as a stand-alone. I really enjoy this book. It's cute and funny and really entertaining. I wasn't the only one to read it, I also gave it to my 12-year-old niece and she absolutely loves it! She read it several times and laughed out loud more than once. We both agree that the character Warren, the One-Legged Wonder Dog is the absolute best out of the bunch. My niece and I are very sure a lot of other kids will enjoy all of the super funny stories, goofy ads, hilarious and slightly gross jokes and of course so so much more. As I've mentioned it's one entertaining read and you won't be disappointed. The illustrations are wonderful and funny too. Yeah, I totally recommend this for young kids. <3<3

I thought that this book was done really well for a child to get interested in reading and the drawings were amazing. My 6 year old granddaughter really enjoyed it when I read it to her via FaceTime. It was written very well in keeping and engaging small children in the story, which as every parent knows is no small task to hold on to with them, and my granddaughter was engaged and asked questions throughout the story. So big plus.
