Besides challenging any myths you may have about social media-- and people have plenty-- Laura tells her readers how to relax and be themselves online sharing only what feels comfortable. While telling her audience how to be strategic and thoughtful in their approach, she's also letting them know what not to do to turn people off.
What I especially liked about Laura's book, is that she didn't just share her wisdom, but cited trusted industry studies and interviewed social media movers and shakers such as Joe Comm, Andrea Vahl, Melonie Dodaro, and many, many more.
If you are new to social media marketing for your business, then you need this book to give you an expert overview to get started in the right way. If you've been around social media for a while, then you need this book to fill in your gaps, learn some new strategies on your existing social media channels, or to expand to newer channels.
Laura did more than bust myths and interview experts. She drilled down on the top social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, Twitter, and Instagram) and explained them in metaphorical terms to make them understandable to all. She provided strategies, tips, and tools to make her audience be the most effective on each of these networks.
By the end, the only thing standing in the way of making lots of connections on social media to enhance your business is you.
