An easy read, step-by-step, with good chapter summaries. Simplifies any complex issues and offers relevant examples. Recommend it to anyone considering retirement, but remain aware that the book speaks to Social Security as it is defined in 2017. Read it now for planning purposes, but expect to see an updated version when you are ready to make the move.

This is the best and most straightforward introduction to Social Security and also includes many important details.
Everyone should have this book in order to properly plan for retirement. Don't judge the other books by their weight; this one will likely be the only one you'll ever need.

This is a very good summary and overview. Mike Piper has a good way of explaining things. There is a new edition of the book, revised for the changes to SS claiming that were enacted in late 2015. Very highly recommended.

Social Security can seem very complicated, but you only really need to understand how it applies to your own case. This little book is an excellent way to gain that understanding.

Great book that fully explains social security choices with plenty of real life examples. Mike Piper has a knack for explaining arcane concepts in an easily understandable manner. Buy the book on Kindle and then download the free update to be informed on the latest regulation changes.

The 14 point font is usually a harbinger of a bad book. But this does what it's title says and answers some very basic questions about Social Security. It's a very good starting place but a starting place only. It answered the one crucial question that had in the 2nd or 3rd chapter and was worth the price of the book.

Excellent, easy to read and concise guide. Highly recommended, unless you "know it all" (I thought I knew most of it...)

I love a book that simplifies the complex and is easy to read. I was sold on the "in 100 pages or less" as long, dry books do not hold my attention (and I am generally patient and focused). The chapter summaries are the berries! I hope the author updates this book as SS rules change. Nice piece of work!
