From the outset, it should be noted that the police officer who reported the incident is a pillar of the Socorro community whose life has been interrupted by the notoriety of the report that he made in the pursuit of his duties. His privacy should be respected.
Mr. Stanford has written this book to push forth his paranormal agenda. He is totally without credibility. He relies on interviews with people who are likewise without credibility and ignores the overwhelming weight of evidence which contradicts his theories.
That being said, the book evoked memories, some fond, some otherwise, of a number of people from Socorro.
