Officially licensed by one of the most recognized names in the gun industry, the Colt M4A1 RIS by King Arms is probably one of the best looking M4 models we have seen in its class. The Colt trademarks on this rifle are actually stamped into its receiver, not painted on like some other models. Its furniture is constructed from reinforced Nylon Fiber instead of cheap plastic which looks and feels extremely realistic. This gun comes with a metal Rail Integrated System and a PEQ Box that houses the BatteryAnd, the rifles receiver is finished in a matte gun metal gray which looks so good you honestly have to tap on it before you realize it is polymer and not metal. It of course has the standard features you would typically find on a traditional M4 AEG such as a six position telescoping stock, functional dust cover, removable carry handle and adjustable front and rear sights. This rifle does have an array of metal parts to include the one piece barrel, front sight, front sling mount, delta ring, dust cover, charging handle, mag catch, forward assist and buffer tube all of which have it weighing in at just under 6 lbs. The King Arms Colt M4A1 feels exceptionally solid and very sturdy. Between this rifles top notch appearance and top shot performance, it quickly became one of our all time favorites. This honestly is an amazing rifle which could can go muzzle to muzzle with rifles twice its cost and come out on top. Do not use with .12g BB's, this gun was made to shoot with .20g BB's or heavier.

So after charging the battery for the recommended 3 hours, I plugged it in and let her rip. Semi auto seems to shoot very hard and accurate as well. Full auto seems lacking in ROF, I was a bit disappointed.
After shooting around 100 rounds, the AEG jammed up. After looking online for some help, I found that it may be that the weak battery provided with this AEG is not able to overcome the anti-reversal latch. I began to take down the AEG and attempt to free the latch manually, while taking it down I found a good size chunk of the piston had blown off. Great, $200 spent, and after 1 day it's broke.
At this point I tried contacting the manufacturer (I don't expect to hear back). and I ordered a new piston on Amazon, this time a full metal (Aluminum one)($25). If I can get it all back together, this should do the trick.
UPDATE: I installed the new piston, however the problems are continuing. I had to re-wire the motor connectors because the factory ones will break off after they get bent a couple times. Also now the battery does not seem to be holding any charge. So I am ordering a new battery and charger.
So far $225 for AEG with prime shipping + $25 piston + $30 Battery + $25 Charger = $305. You decide if it's worth it.
Long story short, it seems like a good baseline AEG, but don't get drawn in by the RIS selling point and be prepared to make some quick "Upgrades" to replace inferior parts as they break. Piston, Battery, Charger etc.
