I have now ordered two additional pairs - one in black and the other in black/leopard. I was going to decide between the two, but liked them so much, I decided to keep them! They are a little big, as I ordered 6.5W (and I'm not really a wide, just wanted to the extra room), but there is no break-in time and they are very comfortable. I highly recommend these!
Initially, I was very pleased with these. It's hard to find shoes that are wide and comfortable enough for my busted feet (wide, tendonitis issues) but still somewhat fashionable. These straddled that line nicely. True, in the wider widths, the shoes are not very svelte looking, but they're still more attractive and on-trend than most other comfort shoes. I found the traction lacking at first (on wet pebbled sidewalks), but after a few weeks, this improved.
I really liked these for about 3.5 months. Last week, however, the sole cracked straight through to the leather in one of my boots. While I have been wearing these boots frequently, I haven't put extensive mileage on them. I live in a metro area and can't walk far due to tendonitis. I may have gotten a dud pair, but it really stings to have spent so much on shoes that didn't last 4 months.
At first glance, the shaft looked really short, but it's perfect for me since I'm short -- so these don't overwhelm my legs.
I'm the type of person who would choose to wear not so comfy choose that are really pretty than to wear comfy shoes that aren't so visually pleasing... It's probably bad for my feet, but oh well. Beauty is pain, right?
BUT anyway, these shoes are both comfortable AND cute. They really finish your outfit and make you look polished.
I have wide feet and when I first got them, I tried to put them on and freaked out because I thought my feet wouldn't go in. After a little tugging and shimmying, I got my foot in (I was also wearing thick winter socks) and wore them out for about 3 hours. Never did my feet hurt! They also stretched out to fit my feet, and not the ugly type of stretch. They still look very nice.
So glad I got them!
