This book has it all, as a aeroponics and greenhouse enthusiast I've benefited greatly from the information in this book. It coveres everything I've always wanted to know, answered all my questions and helped me really understand the mechanic of soiless culture.

Needless to say, the contents of the book are complete and well written. Nevertheless, the hardcover version that I received has an awful bookbinding: the book opens fifteen degrees at most, being necessary to apply constant pressure to keep it open... which makes reading very uncomfortably. Better to buy the e version of it. Shame on you Elsevier!

Not many people would pay almost $90 for a Kindle book on anything, much less on hydroponic gardening, but the money is not an obstacle for me. I am starting a major research project on hydroponic growing. I started with a kit from Amazon. Then I bought a set of three bottles of nutrients. Next I started a "forum" on the kit to elicit comments and questions on the Kit.

I believe that "food" now bought in stores is very sadly deficient in nutrient values and freshness. I consider almost all "fresh" food has been trucked or shipped thousands of miles from a farm to my table, that many of these fresh foods were covered with pesticides, herbicides, grown with artificial fertilizer or are in some way very harmful to health.

It is my practice to find a book like this one and review it before I read it, then I come back and adjust my review as per my opinion after some study. I don't mind how much a research resource costs me. I value Amazon's have a valuable selection of resources (books for instance) to look through. I don't need to take long, just buy and then study and revise, if necessary, my review of this Book after reading it. I will be doing videos and images of my hydroponic garden.

I'll be back. I have bought this Book.

I'm back after reading only 6 - 10 pages. I've increased the rating to five stars. This book may be too much for me, but it is certainly NOT inadequate. I often buy a book to review and review it before reading. I also often buy a book, read some and then review it on Amazon.

This the first book in a long while that I eagerly look forward to "studying" since I want to APPLY the information not just get glib to repeat it.

I already know that this Book cover issues that are important to me.
