Great price and nice book with a solar kit to make a model solar car using one of the composite pages for the chasis of the car. You can't angle the solar panel so it's best to play with the car during the midday. Runs slower than some other solar cars but runs nice and straight. Reverse the wires to have the car move in the opposite direction. This is the 3rd year I've ordered these cars for my technology class.

We bought this book and car kit thinking we'd kill two birds with one stone: get a nice visual aid, as well as a science project required resource book. The book itself is short, and relies so heavily on 'kid-speak' that was obviously written by an adult, that it is nearly unintelligible. We're going to have to go to the library to get his book source, because this isn't sufficient.

The car looks like it has the potential to work. Outside on a winter New England day, at midday, the wheels would turn when the car is held int he air, but not quite enough to power the car forward when on the ground. But it definitely has potential.

This is a good little item. We put it together and it worked like a charm. I think to make it worth the price, your goal would need to be educating the youngesters about solar energy, etc. It's virtually a one time use item, although someone that didn't let their kids play with it might get more mileage out of it. I am happy with the purchase, but probably could have found a better way to spend my money...

This is so much fun, and it is perfect for anyone as a great gift. If someone you know loves building models, or doing science projects, then this is the perfect thing to buy. It was easy to build and the docs was nicely done, in was together without any hassle and as soon as the sunshine came out, it was running.

I bought this for my daughter's science fair project which is due Nov. 14th! We put it together, following the directions and the trouble shooting when it wouldn't work...It still has NEVER worked!

My kid used this kit for a grade 4 science fair project, but it would be a great rainy day project as well. Easy to build, age appropriate, safe. The price is reasonable, shipping is fast.

not impressed with this product. It is a cardboard board sheet with wheels, a solar panel and a motor. Works only in bright sunlight.
