DAVID HOFF TAKES THE HASSLE OUT OF ROLLING SOLAR COVERS
Solar Covers are Great for Heating your Swimming Pool but can be a Real Hassle getting On/Off Odd-Shape Pools.
The Split-Cover System Rolls Covers in Sections, Like Pieces of a Puzzle!
ROLLS COVERS DIRECTLY ON THE WATER
Most pools cannot use a towel rack deck reel system because there's either no where to put it on the deck, or the free form pool shape has bends or bottlenecks making it impossible to roll.
Our system overcomes those issues by splitting the covers into sections up to 20ft. Just split the pool into sections, then attach the roller(s) to the underside of the cover.
And because it's supported entirely by the already buoyant pool cover, it's completely hidden, so there's nothing on your deck.
THE MOST EFFICIENT MEANS TO ROLL A COVER
Rolling your solar pool cover in sections directly on the water is easy because there’s very little resistance as the cover glides upon the water being pulled from both directions to create a nice tidy roll.
And rolling through the middle rolls the same way every time!
Plus, working with smaller sections is a more manageable modular approach to reduce the size and weight of the cover. Smaller sections are easier, lighter, and faster to roll than trying to deal with the entire cover.
ROLLS ABOVE GROUND POOLS TOO
Round or oval pools, split cover in the middle
Because the Solar Roller is free-floating completely supported by the already floating solar pool cover, there’s nothing attached to the pool.
The same concept works on any pool because you’re rolling the solar pool cover directly on the water.
NICE TIDY ROLL, THAT'S THE IDEA
No matter what the shape, rolling the cover section through the middle creates a nice tidy roll that's easy to take off to a shady location protecting the cover from cooking in the sun.
Rolling through the middle rolls the same way every time.
And to put the cover back on, unrolling from the middle is easy too, just pull open along the deck.
TILTING DRAINS THE HEAVY WATER
By tilting the roll you drain off the heavy water to leave you with a 20-30 lb bubble cover on a stick.
We recommend the "Standard Blue 12 Mil Round Bubble".. it's the best allowing the water to quickly drain, and blue cuts down on algae.
Again, once rolled you can easily carry off to a shady place, or some folks just leave the rolls in the pool pushed to the side where they stay cool floating in the water.
PULL OPEN AND RAFT INTO PLACE
To put the cover back on, just pull open 1/2 way along the deck. Above he's pulling in both directions, but you can also just grab the top flap, pull along the deck, and the roll will follow and open up the other half of the cover too.
Very easy, then just raft in to place and finish off back rolling if needed. Cover sections are easy to raft into place because the stick provides structure that you can rudder and move the cover around by the crank.

I have had the Solar Rollers for about a month. No broken pieces, or bent/bowed tubes. They seem to be working out very well. I will update this review if anything changes.
This product is great. So great in fact that without it, I'm pretty certain we would never use our pool. We have a free form pool with a retaining wall around half of the pool, and a slide on the side across from the retaining wall. This makes it impossible to put a solar cover on our pool and remove with ease so that we may enjoy actually swimming in our pool.
I've read all the reviews and after years of experience using this product, I believe the issues remain with the customer configuring it improperly for their pool. I have experienced some of the same issues but it's not because the product doesn't work or is of bad quality, it was my configuration error. I've since emailed the owner David Hoff, who is quick to assist with all questions and issues, and found that I had cut the cover in a less than optimum place which caused my problems. David helped me with new placement and I haven't had any issues since - you can't beat customer service like that.
If you need a solution for your solar cover and either can't have a giant heavy solar reel on your pool deck or don't want one, this solution is in my opinion, the absolute best. Simply roll it up, drain the water, and tuck it away out of sight.
Decided to remove cover and as I was suspected the cheap aluminum poles broke when rolling. This is a sound concept cheap aluminum. I replaced with PVC and stainless bolts and washers. This will hold up now to the pool water. It was a waste of money. Build your own for $40.00.

Good concept but the clips are a little flimsy and doubt it will last long. Also the tubing gets a crusty growth I assume due to the Pristine Blue I use. Very little chlorine is needed.
