To be honest I was expecting something hard to carry in my workbag. It actually is the size of an ipad, bundled in a nice cover/case. I was amazed by its capacity as I personally bought this because of solar energy and its environment appeal. It charges iphone and ipad together for 3 times and still with residual time. Amazing capacity. Also as it is really thin, it goes side by side with my laptop and requires less space compared to my last 12000 mAh battery that was 1/3 of a brick size. Solar panel works great and it can also be refulled in regular outlet. Great work by solartab. A little expensive, but better to spend on this that respect nature than in regular it gadgets that become electronic trash and we even dont know where it goes.

Beautiful product and holds a substantial charge when you first get it. This solar panel was more than capable of charging my iPad and my iPhone and worked great. Initial impression was that this was the product to have. However, do NOT leave this device in your car, and don't leave it in direct sunlight during hot days. That will kill the battery very quickly. Not knowing this, I started to notice the charges lessening in potency and the cover warping. Once the battery is shot, the panel is far less effective. I have since found other products on the market that have separate batteries that work better. Albeit, I have found far crappier products as well, so fit and finish, this product ranks up there.

Just spent seven weeks in AZ high desert with Solartab as my primary energy source. Daily I could power multiple cell phones and tablets utilizing only the PV. While other guys were running around camp trying to trade outlets for energy drinks, I was able to keep my electonics fully charged. I even brought it on a few 24+ hour jobs in my ruck to ensure I would have enough power.

The high winds knocked it off a table once, cracked the corner glass and damaged the metal casing, but it continues to power through. In the direct sun of the Arizona spring it fully charge in approximately six hours, at 2000 ASL.

Improvement- Needs a hardened case for those who use it 100% everyday outside.

I've tried several other solar device chargers and they all sound good on paper, but the proof is in whether they actually charge and how long it takes. I've had too many cloudy days to say definitively on duration, but it looks like it could fully charge in anywhere from 90 minutes to 3hrs (2 other solar chargers I placed in the sun for 6 weeks without achieving a full charge). Highly recommended-
