Morgan Murray is an easy, fun-loving guy. He excels at being a soldier, but never wanted more out of life. Somehow, he ends up in a position of authority on Dru's new ship, the Blue Sparrow. Now he has to deal with what he dreads most. Responsibilities. Dru and her crew are given the task of finding Wyatt Morrick and telling him about his father's death. Along the way, Morgan soon learns that responsibility can be painful, difficult, and frightening. It can also lead to something very special.
Dr. Wyatt Morrick is in trouble. Big trouble. He and his medical crew are stuck on a planet under attack. He may not be a soldier, but he has patients and friends to worry about. With very few supplies left, something has to give for them to survive. The whole planet's future is at stake and he is stuck hiding in a cave.
When Morgan saves Wyatt and his friends, the two men are given a gift, each other. Their love can't stop the Concord, though, and someone has to. Morgan has to grow and accept his responsibilities, and Wyatt has to move on from his father's death. That death just happens to be a little more complicated then Wyatt expected.
Author's Note: 55,000+ words. This is a m/m love story with no angst and no cheating, just a HEA. There is lots of action, sex, mpreg, and a few potty mouths involved in the story. 18+ readers only, please. It is also the third book in a series that is best read in order. Read "The Mercenary's Mate," and "The General's Mate" first!

About the author

I have been self-publishing m/m romance since October, 2018 and enjoy sharing my books with readers all over the world. I'm also a reader and I love to read everything I can get my hands on, especially m/m romance. My favorites are mpreg, sci-fi, fantasy, and paranormal. I have four series right now.
1). My Hobson Hills Omegas series is light and sweet non-shifter mpreg. They are novella length (35,000-45,000 words) and angst-free.
2). My Blue Solace series is a sci-fi/fantasy romance and has more action and adventure. The romance, however, is still light and sweet. They are longer (40,000-60,000 words).
3). My third series is called The Silver Isles and is a paranormal mermen trilogy. They are also a little longer than Hobson Hills (45,000-50,000 words) and are low heat and light and fluffy.
4). My fourth series is a paranormal, mpreg series of holiday short stories called Holiday Omegas (10,000-14,000 words). The first few stories follow one couple as they meet, fall in love, and develop their relationship.
If you like zero angst, light and fluffy romance, give one of my books a try!

Dr. Wyatt Morrick, son of Dr. Verion Morrick, was left stranded on a planet being conquered by the Concords. Pretty boy Morgan, Captain Dru’s new weapons specialist, and Wyatt find out they are mates when they meet. Together with the locals, the crew of the Blue Sparrow, and some other mercenary groups, they fight to free the planet.
Wyatt took the news of his father’s death hard. Finding out that his dad’s dead body was being used by Death was worse. When they find out that Death went to Frost Veil, they start to wonder if there might be some of Verion left. In the end they must face both Life and Death and deal with the consequences left over from the Crellic Shaman's choices millennia ago.
This book is rated 4 stars. There are a few typos and other minor errors. Even though this book goes back in time a bit, it flows well and the story was easy to follow. The people, politics, and cultures are all unique and fascinating to read.
Personal Note:
Now I can’t choose, do I want a Frost Veil Dragon or a Fire Veil Dragon? Decisions, decisions…. One of the funniest scenes in the book was when Wyatt and Morgan got married. I won’t give too much away but I had to read it a few times just because. ;) The continuing story of the crew of the Blue Solace is fantastic and I know I will be re-reading this series many times.
Dru, Morgan and some of the crew and rescuees from the Blue Solace (Hack's ship, from previous books) volunteer to fly the Blue Sparrow to hunt for Wyatt Morrick. Wyatt is Verion Morrick's (scientist that was studying the element in book one) son and has gone missing along with his entire team of doctors sent to help on a warring planet. Morgan has formed a not so secret crush on Wyatt whom he has never met and the Sparrow crew give him grief about it.
Wyatt and his team have been abandoned on the warring planet and are holed up waiting for rescue after the Concord and a being that drains the fluids from its victims have ravaged the planet and is killing everyone and planning to set up their base there. Morgan and the team find Wyatt and his group and bring them onto their shuttle but there is still plenty of work to be done before anyone can safely leave this planet.
That's the general setup for the story. We meet old friends and new ones too and of course there is plenty of action as everyone tries to stop the Concord and keep them from furthering their plans to destroy not just this planet but others as well. I loved both Morgan and Wyatt and I won't say anymore so I don't ruin their beautiful story for you. I'm on to the next book to see what happens. Highly recommend.
KU, book in a series, sci-fi, fated mate, doctor, military men, death of an enemy, death of a side character, mpreg, babies
I was originally going to skip this book in the series. I wanted to read Sebastian’s story and this one didn’t really interest me. After starting his book, I felt a bit lost so went back and read this one to catch up. I am so glad that I did. I really liked this book. The interaction between all the characters in the series is just wonderful. I love all the animals and pets. There were parts of the story that were really sad and on the flip side there were parts that were really funny. All in all just a wonderful book.
