As a first time published Indie book author, I completely understand that editing yourself is difficult, especially when you are so focused on hammering out something people want to read that errors go unnoticed.
I finished the book in a couple of hours in one sitting and really do want to read the next in the series. I'm not going to give a synopsis because you can already read it above under the book. I rarely give 5 stars so this would've gotten 4 had it not been for the many errors. You can tell it's a first but you can also tell his writing is already getting better just throughout the book, so the next one he will be even more confident in his story, characters and self. Do this author a favor and give him a chance, then please leave a review good, bad or indifferent. It's how Indie authors not only get the word out, but learn what they need to work on. He's got a good start here to a great series so scroll up and click!!
If I had seen it was self published I would have spot read a few pages before buying it. The story was as abysmal as the writing. I couldn’t even finish it! The plot, if you could call it that, was muddled at best. I can see why no publishing house was involved in this mess.
Speaking of self publishing: If this book was edited by anyone other than a ten year old I would be very surprised.
These other reviews with high stars have got to be friends or family that just don’t have the heart to be honest. Save your time and money and skip this one.
He has run-ins with 2 different groups who seem to have a dislike for each other for some strange reason. He rescues a young man named DJ and they fight for survival while trying to figure out who to trust while looking for his family.
This is the debut novel for this author and I look forward to reading more of his work.
My only complaint is the editing could have been done better as the grammar needs work, but I do recommend this book to anyone who enjoys the zombie/horror genre.
