Careful with the dosage

I'm a little irritated that I ordered this and now have to either throw it out or return it. I wanted the benefits of simultaneous B6 and magnesium supplementation. However, according to the National Institute of Health (see photo), the max recommended dose for non-pregnant adult women in my age range is 320mg/daily, and 360mg/daily for pregnant women in my age range. In fact, per the NIH, the only groups for whom a 400mg dose is appropriate are males aged 14+, and pregnant girls between age 14-18 (again, see attached photo grid from NIH). I'm not messing around with recommended dosages of anything, especially while trying to get pregnant. Just be sure to ask your doctor if this is safe for you, especially if you're a non-pregnant female over age 18.

For Constipation, Leg Cramps, Healthy Bone Building!!

Great supplement to alleviate the side effects of Chemotherapy! A bit of truthfulness here --- chemotherapy causes all kinds of side effects, constipation being one of them. My husband is a cancer patient and even with an excellent whole foods diet was still finding the chemo drugs would bind him up. Laxatives can alleviate constipation but they're also full of chemicals you don't NEED, not to mention they often take DAYS to have an effect upon the bowels. The main ingredient in many laxatives is MAGNESIUM anyway. My husband took these and within a couple of days, he was "regular" again. The chemo also depletes the body of essential vitamins, so having the B6 combined with the magnesium is perfect for maximum absorption and usage. I also take them now, and the leg cramping I often get disappeared. Most people do not get enough magnesium in the diet -- and it one of the main ingredients in the production of bone. Great product for older people especially. SMALL, easy to swallow tablets - very smooth, not chalky so if you don't like pill swallowing, these will be tolerable.

With this Magnesium Oxide supplement by Solgar you get the wonderful benefits of Magnesium without the horrible malabsorption side effects like you can suffer with other brands.

Other brands that I have tried can cause horrible side effects; such as bloating, gas, stomach pain and diarrhea.

I have had no side effects at all with Solgar. Instead, I have had less muscle and nerve pain and had much more restful sleep.

I have been taking Magnesium Oxide for over 7 years for my Sciatica Pain and it really keeps the pain at bay. It used to be unbearable.

I really like that that the dose is 3 pills because you can take them throughout the day. I take 1 pill every 8 hours and I feel great!
