This game was listed under "Games for Paperwhite Kindle" so I purchased it to play on my new device, which is properly registered on Amazon. "Manage My Kindle" will not allow me to select the new Kindle for download - it will only allow me to select one of our 5 year old devices. Only $.99, so not a big deal, but really annoying to purchase something that's useless to me. Even more annoying is the fact there's no way to report a problem with the order on my order list. Posting this review is the only option.

There is virtually no way to play this game on paperwhite. it's extremely difficult to distinguish the colors and have any enjoyment of the game. there needs to be something to tell you whether games will play on the different kindles. I was told I could cancel the game and tried within 12 hours but it wouldn't let me do anything but remove the game. guess I should be glad it only cost me a buck!

I play this game almost daily. There are 10 different versions to choose from, so not just stuck with the standard Klondike. I am not a fan of Spiderette so I just don't play it but the one I really hate if GOLF. I think I have played this game a hundred times and I have yet to win, it's not winnable in my opinion. In most games Kings and Aces are one above or below which is basically what this game is but since you can't use them this way, you always end up losing. If anyone has ever won this game the wins are probably few and far between. I just don't even try anymore. In solitaire you expect to lose, just not EVERY single time. You eventually get a win! Love the Freecell, Pyarmid and Scorpion. I do like that they give you instructions and tell you when a move is not acceptable. I do wish that (in a future version maybe?) that when you know you have won the game that it would auto-fill the deck like it does when you play on PC and handheld games instead of having to click each card and put in in the "suit stack" in Freecell and Klondike versions.

Overall games work well. Rules are pretty close to Hoyle rules. I have played most of the games with real cards. Can understand concerns of others: screen keeps updating, slow movement of cards; will not allow use of cards from stack if thee are "available" moves (for me in Canfield). I had won several games from each category and they were recorded. After recharging my kindle generation, I lost all the stats. I enjoy the games and like the card back and card face choices. I have other games by this company: Sudoku Works an Word Find 1 & 2. I have had not problems with either game type.

This does not work well on the new kindle paper white, You can not finish a game and go on to a new game without exiting Solitaire Collection and then go back in an choose a new game. If you play Yukon, there is no skill involved because if you make a mistake and miss a move, the program will not let you proceed, you have to make the next logical move, IE; no skill involved.

When you touch the screen to make your moves, it takes forever for the program to react. The collection of games on Solitaire Collection does not even have auto complete, big bummer. I rather play EA Solitaire on my basic Kindle since the new Kindle Paper White does not support or EA Solitaire not set up for the paper white. In addition, what is up with the solitaire game golf. Since when can't you go from a king to an ace, but only a two to an ace. Give me a break!!! So my recommendation is save your 99 cents

I have a paperwhite 2nd gen and needed a game app for reading breaks.I rather drain battery on my PW than my cell phone for games.

Anyway, it works , but it's slow to respond..not very slow but slow in the sense it takes about a second or maybe 2 at times to respond. You get use it and after a while you don't even notice it any longer.

I expected this being the PW is solely a reading device not a gaming device.

If you go in thinking it's going to respond as if it was on your Fire or cell then
this game isn't for you. If you don't mind a sec for it to respond when selecting a card, then buy it as it only cost 99 cents.

Of course it's black and white and gray ,but you can still tell which is red (hearts/Diamonds)and which is Black (Clubs/Spades) because the pictures of suits are clear enough and big enough to see.

I gave it 4 stars because I honestly thought it would be so slow it would be annoying ,but it's not, plus it actually works considering the PW is really meant to read not game.

I'm OK with it :)

Thanks !

this set of games is so-so at best. Slow, must make plays to proceed, when there are times in certain games where you not make a play to better the chances to win... odd way to continue new game or switch to another type.
"EA Solitaire" is much better, but this game does not seem to be available anymore for KINDLE, and I do not see any other solitaire collections to try either.
