No nonsense, practical advice that works

As Charlie says, "Don't do as I do, do as I say". He doesn't mess around, he tells it like it is. If he can't motivate you, you have to want and motivate yourself. His writing style is humorous and easy to understand. Men and women, young and old can benefit from this book. Do you really need supplements? Hell no, at least in Charlie's eyes. This man built his body up from years of hard, consistent training. This was accomplished by using his own body and whatever
else he had on hand in Prison. The man is 54yrs old with a 33yr old body and is strong and fit compared to younger men.

You don't really need those flashy, workout clothes. Expensive shoes won't help you run any faster. Save your money instead. The beauty of this book is you don't really need weights to get stronger. Just use whatever you have on hand. If you do have weights and other equipment, use them. Just reading the first few pages, I feel very motivated by Charlie's words of encouragement. Have started doing the routines as he says and I can feel myself getting stronger. This book is no joke, believe me. If you are serious about getting into shape, this book and hard work will help you reach your goals. I hope
Charlie gets out of Prison soon, he deserves it.☺

Yeah, baby! This guy is a nut. Would have given 5 starts but many of the pictures are unclear. I like his attitude "get in shape enough to do what you want to do". Anything beyond that and you age yourself (wear-out, stress, injury). I like that he shows to start out slow and work upwards. The use of ordinary household items is great (no need for $$ to a gym). I still use my free weights as a change-up at home and I feel good again. I like that he keeps it simple - you have a choice, why not be fit? I saw another documentary how medicine is a bad crutch used by too many people. This can be avoided by becoming fit. No medicine can reach the same benefits and cost effectiveness vs being fit. I spread the word on this book and no less than 7 people thanked me for the pointer. Good luck Charlie as I hope you get out someday to breath free air.

I have been looking for a book that talked about the isometric exercises that I've heard are widely practiced in prison along with the other more commonly known bodyweight exercises. Bingo! And, reading it I've no doubt that it's authentic material. Yeah, it's kind of all over the place and full of some pretty crazy ranting. But, it's a good read chocked full of nuggets of good stuff if you go through it a couple of times. The guy has reached out from a hellish place to give anyone who's interested a look at what he does to stay super fit and strong. Kudos to him!

Very interesting views on fitness through the eyes of a madman! Bronson described everything from his workout routine to how to clean your bowels, to how to knock out a cow! I highly recommend it for both its value as a workout guide and it's comedic value as well. After a few weeks using his routine my push-ups max went from 41 to 88! A must read for anyone into body weight workouts

As a product itself this book arrived quickly and in good condition. There are two or three minor spelling/ grammatical errors in the book but nothing that is too distracting. I purchased this book in hopes to both increase my fitness level, without having to pay large amounts of money on gym memberships or equipment, and so that I could also learn more about the man Charles Bronson (aka Michael Peterson). While this book is great for learning the names and locations of your specific muscles, and has many detailed sketches, I didn't find it particularly effective for gaining any muscle mass. While it helped keep what muscle I had from decreasing it didn't quite help me make any substantial gains either. This is a book worth getting if you are interested in either the man or in general fitness, but don't expect to get ripped by using just this book alone.
