I have been buying this book over the years for other people. It is a perfect book of small yet very clear and concise rules of different types of boardgames, from the boardgames invented by H.G. Well, to the choices in a book such as Tunnels and Trolls, to mostly small yet very different boardgames, all meant for the solo player. The rules have been well thought out, and, though not of the magnitude of such classic games in the 80's such as Dawn of the Dead, it does not have 16 pages of rules for the game either. These games are perfect for someone to program on a computer as an exercise. A game with such high praise as Zombies! or Ambush is all well and good, but how can one get through the 120 pages of rules of Ambush, and endless chits, or the massive amount of 'cards in Zombies!? These rules are clear and short, and there is a tough section to be detached of stiff paper already printed where the games can be cut and assembled (although I could not do that to this book). The gaming community has overlooked this great book, and when it is out of print, people will be paying a lot for it.

So far the insturctions for each game has been too hard for me to understand so I haven't been able to play the games. I still haven't tried all of the games just a few maybe the other instructions will be better because I do look forward to playing these games solo.
