xVerity ,or Vincent , is a doctor , an infertility specialist but no spoilers so enough of that. He has a six going on sixteen daughter Nikki that it's impossible not to love and an ex it's impossible to love.
Mal and Vincent hookup ,but really more, at Alex and Gwynning's wedding.
Piper gives us so much story and all of it critical to the outcome so explaining further will spoil. Suffice it to say that Piper did it again with this one and, as usual , we're all asking when The Decision is coming. The conversations between the group are laugh out loud funny. Just sayin’ placenta???
I LOVED this book and the entire connected series but I do agree FIGI!!!🌴🌈💟
I loved that Mal finally was able to have his own HEA. His experiences since the White Lotus have been heartwrenching and often bittersweet.
Vincent was the perfect match for Mal, and they helped one another heal, and become stronger, into the men they felt had been trapped inside.
Mal is at the end of his fertile years. He still wants to be a daddy though. He's spent years helping to take care of his friends' kids, and now he's helping with those kids' kids. He loves them all dearly, but as much as he loves them, he still wants his own. He's on another round of IVF, and hasn't had any luck, other than just having crazy heat cycles. At a wedding of his friends, he's had to hide in a storage closet to deal with his heat and paranoia.
Vincent has flown into Aurora so he can be at his friend Gwynn's wedding. They know each other through the Single Dad Support Group. When he's trying to find the bathroom, he walks into a storage closet and meets Mal. They have a glorious night together, but Mal leaves early in the morning, figuring that he'll never see Vincent again. Except he actually does.
I loved everything that went on in this book. I love the fact that the primary couple is older. Nothing wrong with younger characters, but every now and again, an older woman likes to see older characters too. I also love the whole take on Daddy that goes on here. It's not what you normally see, but it's a good one. I also like the issues with the alpha/omega dynamics that happens too. The book seems so timely to me, and really looks at things in an interesting way. I wish I could give this book so many more stars.
