I started using NOW Solutions Organic Jojoba Oil for my scalp after hearing about its benefits. While I haven't noticed any major effects yet, I believe it will show results over time. This is perfect, quality golden jojoba oil. Has no smell what so ever, other than the most faint of fresh oats.

It’s the least “oil” feeling and looking oil out of every single plant oil I have ever tried, both the usual carrier oils as well as many of the “exotic” precious oils.
Jojoba - interestingly a liquid wax- soaks immediately into skin and hair.

My favorite use for jojoba is in my hair. A little goes a long way- which is obviously a plus. My hair is wavy and long, not too unmanageable. It gets frizzy though, no doubt. I use a teeny drop of jojoba , rub it in my palms, then carefully run my fingers through the very ends of my hair first. Then pat the rest onto my frizzies.

The most important thing the note about jojoba oil is this : it does not make hair look the least bit oily or greasy- it makes it look glossy (when applied with the appropriate amount). .

I switch up /alternate my hair smoothers between this and chi keratin infusion .

One other use I like is for a carrier oil with my chamomile CO2 and calendula CO2 extracts. Usually in a roller bottle or a glass spray bottle. Other tidbits regarding properties of jojoba oil that distinguish it from others:

- Most importantly, it has a VERY long shelf life, up to 24 months, according to SwiftCraftyMonkey, a brilliant cosmetic formulator.
- jojoba is one of two oils that can be “sprayed” with a regular spray bottle - the other sprayable oil being fractionated coconut oil. Another way I use jojoba is in an amber or cobalt spray bottles for using it as body oil and for my hair.

It’s price is directly correlated to the amount of plant product to yield ratio, so that is why it’s considerably more expensive than other carriers. It’s worth it, a little goes a long way and it has such a long shelf life. If there is ever anyone that strongly dislikes the oily feeling yet wants to be able to use an oil based product, this is the best option. It’s like a dry oil. It does not dry my skin like coconut oil does.

This particular brand Is well known, and there’s zero doubt this is anything other than pure jojoba. One last thing - this is an oil that must not be ingested under any circumstances.

After years of having oily skin, I now find myself with dry, parched skin which is, of course, much worse in winter. I've been experimenting with a lot of moisturizers, lotions, and oils to find one/some that will work in different weather/seasons, and I can say that jojoba oil is my go-to for cooler weather. I use a different product for the neck and eye areas, but use this liberally everywhere else. I wait a few minutes for it to seep in a bit before I put on foundation and it goes on flawlessly and looks great. (I do usually set it with a light dusting of powder, and sometimes a setting spray, but can easily skip that if pressed for time.) At the end of the day, my face isn't either greasy or chalky. It also doesn't clog my pores, inflame my skin, or cause breakouts. As a bonus, a little goes a long way, so it looks as if this 4-ounce bottle will be with me for awhile.

I definitely recommend jojoba oil for the face. That said, this is definitely a YMMV situation since I can't say how it would work for someone with oily/combination skin, someone who is prone to breakouts, or in warm/humid weather*. But it's certainly worth a try. (If it doesn't work on the face, it's also a great body moisturizer so it wouldn't go to waste.)

Now for my one complaint--not about the oil, but the bottle. The lid on my bottle is very loose. It doesn't stay tight, and it leaks. I've quit using the pop top altogether and take the whole lid off when I use it. It must stay upright, and I'd never be able to travel with it using the original container. There were no leakage problems when it was shipped, thankfully, but I noticed it right away when I started using it. Just something to be aware of.

*Update: Since the initial review, I've continued to use this throughout a hot, muggy summer and I continue to be pleased. It absorbs quickly and moisturizes my face without making it greasy-looking. No clogged pores or breakouts even in swampy weather.

I mix about 8 drops with a teaspoon or so of water in my hand then rub thoroughly through my hair and leave in overnight. Then shampoo the next moring and my hair just Shines. Works great at the beach too.

I don’t like buying all the expensive potions for your face. It’s unnecessary. I’ve done my research and Jojoba oil is the closest oil it our natural sebum. It’s light weight and use it morning and night keeping my face soft and moist. Forget those expensive anti wrinkle cremes. I’ve never used them and my skin always looks great. Been using NOW Jojoba for a while. Love it.
