I just heard it for the first time when I watched the Family Band: The Cowsills Story (get it!!! Highly recommended!), and I loved it instantly! Works SO well at the end of this lovely, but sad, film.

This song was played over the closing credits of the terrific Cowsills documentary film, A Family Band and is from their recent album Global. It's a beautiful, optimistic song and in a fair world would be a big hit. If you like good music, do yourself a favor and listen to it.

I just saw the "Family Band" Cowsills documentary on Showtime, and this song (the closer) blew me away. The more I hear it, the more I like it.

The vocals are tremendous (they do it great live "unplugged" as well) and the production is outstanding.

See the documentary - frankly I wouldn't give the Cowsills the time of day back in the sixties, but after seeing the documentary and then realizing how talented they were / are - I realize I missed the boat.

I think this song "Some Good Years" is likely the best song they ever did.

Again - see the "Family Band" Cowsills documentary - sad though it may be, it is inspiring as well. I am now a fan.

Like many others here, I first heard this song watching the documentary "Family Band" and fell in love with this tune. It is perfect pop...a glossy, shimmering bit of lovliness. Sweet and sad in the context of the movie and overall just a beautiful song.

"Some Good Years" caught me totally by surprise at the end of documentary "Family Band". As others have stated it's the perfect song for the end credits. I replayed the end credits several times before it occurred to me to see if Amazon had this song in their Mp3 store.

The song has a sound that is a perfect blend of their wonderful harmonies from the 60's hits combined with excellent present-day production.

Love the song (MP3 download of "Some Good Years"), with excellent sound quality as well.

What a talented group, in the late 1960s/early 1970s, the 1990s (when this song came out), and even in the 2000s.

I loved the Cowsills back in the 60's. One day they just disappeared but that is common with most bands, then AND now. But after watching The Cowsills documentary today, I have a better, if not shocking, understanding of their rise to fame, their hardships along the way and life under a ruling and abusive father. Truly enjoyable movie, albeit sad. Their harmonies and music are more appreciated by me today than back then. As was said in the movie, " this was a group of incredibly talented kids", and that they were. The latter recorded "Some Good Years" played against a backdrop of old photos at the end of the movie was most heartwarming. I fell instantly in love with the song. I wish it were available on iTunes. So if you appreciate good pop harmonies and see this movie playing, catch it. You won't regret it.
