The stories in this book are all based on actual events across several different careers and experiences. The writing of this book has been a “work in progress” for a few years and the author states, “I have learned a lot about vulnerability in sharing these stories. In every case I have tried to present the story as it actually occurred and to share the lesson I learned from it. This book is my attempt to highlight the important things we all experience and how we can learn from them and share with others. We are all better together.”
As stated by the author, “In every case I have always tried to put others ahead of myself and have made my share of mistakes along the way. I did not write this book to boast about my accomplishments or to set the record straight, but rather to share some things I have learned which I hope at least one reader finds useful.”

"This book is fantastic and has been a huge help to me. I could relate because I've dealt with similar issues. The writer has handled the words so eloquently that it is impossible not to feel what the writer has been through. This work unquestionably deserves five stars." Fatima, Book Review

I always love real stories. The real events drive us far more than fiction. James A Faber’s Some People Are Stupid, But Not You is a clear example of that.
I was very much impressed on the difficult but a fruitful journey of James. Born in a low-income earning family and being an average kid, James has gone on an exceptional journey, far beyond an average person can imagine. With a humble beginning of an Airforce Cadet officer, he goes on to be an advisor to a senior member of President Clinton’s cabinet, a CEO, Entrepreneur, President of two disability groups. With all these achievements he manages to be successful in his family life as well, as an exemplary father and a loving husband. That is exactly the type of a person, whom I need advice, motivation, and inspiration.
James takes us on a journey, through his life his tough times and good times, his struggles, and achievements. It is a true account of his battles and hardships not a hype we see in most autobiographic books. Throughout the I noticed; he emphasizes that he is an average man like all of us. That made me feel his story could be related to me greatly. He offers a complete philosophy and an effective approach to life, rather than some scattered positive thinking thoughts or advice.
The other thing I love about this book is his writing style. His language is plain and simple, yet he addresses straight to the gut. I felt like an elder friend narrating his story to me in a gentle manner. He makes it such intimate reading experience.
Most importantly, by the end of the book I felt so calm, collected, and relaxed. I feel energetic and ready to take on the challenges in my life. This book is transformational and so resourceful, I could already feel the change.
If you are looking for an overhaul in your life, with inspiration and motivation this book fits perfectly. Highly recommended!
The author tells us through facts, personal experiences and life lessons about his story. It’s an inspiring book with which in my case I can sometimes felt identify through these pages.
THIS BOOK IS A CLEAR REMINDER OF HOW IT IS POSSIBLE TO REACH OUR DREAMS. How we shouldn’t give up and focus on our goals
Do not let yourself be defeated by the comments of others, people will always have something to criticize. But we must not let their words block us from reaching our goal.
As despite the difficulties and unexpected problems that present in our life, as well as the irreparable loss of loved ones, we must continue forward.
I like how the author emphasizes the meaning of those who are the true heroes, those people who sacrifice their lives, day by day for others.
This is one of my favorite quotes:
You understand that “True Greatness” is much more than simply being famous, rich, a celebrity, music legend, or reality TV star, but rather it is something more visceral that you feel from your core while in the presence of Greatness.
If at any time you have the opportunity to read this book, please do it, it has great lessons, it is certainly worth it.
