I loved the story told in this book. Two people meet at the worse time possible and start a crazy relationship. I loved Lisa, she was comical. Her inner dialogue had me laughing. Brian was awesome. He had all the traits of an alpha man, but he showed it very subtly. You had know idea you were dealing with an alpha until it was too late. He was no joke.
It’s a quick holiday read, and well worth the time.
PROS: I liked Brian and Lisa. They’re mature characters with careers. I felt like they developed a connection before sleeping together. I liked how he was certain about his feelings for her.
CONS: Ordinarily I don’t really care about secondary characters, but the missing sister issue here is pivotal to this story. It doesn’t make sense to have it so poorly resolved. Also, the relationship between Brian and Lisa still doesn’t seem fully formed. The book really needs an epilogue or another chapter.
There are lots of minor editing issues that proofreading would have corrected.
3.5 – 4 STARS: If the conclusion had been better, I would have given the story a solid four.
